These few tidbits from Aristophanes' play The Frogs and Euripides' play The Bacchae, written about 2,434 years ago, really are relatable!

Dionysus is the god of theater, his followers were given seats of honor at the theater and performances often took place during his festivals. The themes of the plays were frequently about the duality of human nature, something which is associated with Dionysus as a god of joy and frenzy.

Dionysus, known as Bacchus in Roman mythology, is the god of wine, fertility, and revelry in Greek mythology.

His followers, the Maenads, were the embodiment of his wild and ecstatic worship as they danced with wild abandon.
