We are welcoming in fall with our new special: Apple Cinnamon Soda
We had a request from @?? for a cinnamon drink, and this is our response. We made an apple and cinnamon syrup and added it to a base of Apple Beer for a fresh, fall-y treat (Want something lighter? Ask for club soda as the base. Don't want carbonation? Ask for it as a Silk).
Can't get here? Try making it yourself:
Recipe-
2 parts apple nectar (or parboiled, pureed, and strained apples)
1 part water
1 part sugar
2 ea four inch cinnamon sticks
lemon juice
Bring the first 4 ingredients to a boil then remove from heat. The longer you let it steep the stronger the cinnamon flavor develops. When it's to your taste, strain out the cinnamon. Add a splash of lemon juice. To serve mix 1 part syrup to 3 parts base.
Tips-
Save yourself the steps of pureeing fresh apples and get the Jumex nectar shown here in a well stocked grocery store or Mexican market.
Cinnamon is hydrophobic so always use sticks, not ground cinnamon or it will dry out your mouth when you drink it.
