Where the office is now, there was a supply store which later became a post office. The kitchen was originally the original owners, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chambliss residence. The building hosts a hand dug cellar which has a cistern pump. While bringing the building up to modern day codes and ordinances we tried to maintain as much originality as possible. The remodeled building and the 4000 square fe

et is our new events hall. The old stories say that Mr. Henry used to store his Model T in the attic by lifting it with the weighted elevator. The hole has been covered for safety reasons but if you look you can see evidence of this bit of history. The building was the largest in the area so it had the responsibility of housing the first fire engine for the community. One of stories say that one day a fire broke out and when the volunteers came to get the engine, Mr. Henry, who was the postmaster was out delivering the mail and the doors were locked! Many of the locals come by and share there stories and memories of how Pleasant View and Main Street used to be. Please feel free to stop by and share some of your memories with us. We are seeking part-time team members to help us create unforgettable events for our clients. If you love working in a team-oriented environment and have experience in serving or event management, we’d love to hear from you!

What We Do:
- Prepare for events by setting up and organizing.
- Oversee the venue during events to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Handle clean-up and closing after events.
- Best of all, we get to share in our clients' joy and make their experience stress-free and memorable!

Schedule & Hours:
- Weekly hours vary based on event load: typically, 5–15 hours per week.
- Most shifts are during the evening:
- Weekdays: Example only: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Weekends: Example only: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

We had an incredible time hosting students from Pleasant View Christian School as they explored the ins and outs of event planning. From learning how to plan a wedding from start to finish to mastering room design and centerpiece creation, these students dove into the details of crafting a memorable event.

We also shared insights about running a business and what it takes to bring it all together seamlessly. It was inspiring to see their creativity and enthusiasm shine!
