A couple Saturdays ago a lady and her daughter walked into the shop and needed to order a memorial spray and so as they talked I took mental notes they were taking me down memory lane with them so much so that I felt like I knew her…we talked about pictures and she went and picked a few out and brought them back I took them placed them on the counter and didn’t give it much thought until Monday when we needed to build it…as I was going through the pictures and planning it out with mom…. we both took a moment back and just cried ugh the Saturday conversation and the pictures so much love in all of these pictures so much joy so much life!! One generation teaching another generation the art of tortilla making I can almost smell the aroma in that kitchen…Her great grand daughter talked about butterflies and her liking turquoise…. They wanted a garden of different colored flowers cause they thought she’d like that… I asked her what she liked most about her great grandma /mom and she said that we always had fun cooking she liked cooking and so I remembered that and added the wooden cooking spoons…. in this profession we get to meet people of all walks of life every morning my mom walks in the shop and says thank you Lord for all the blessings that will come in and go out of this shop today we pray for our customers and I know God sent them here…it was a joy getting to meet new friends our flowers truly come from what is within us the creativity only comes from God and mom and I feel honored to be able to do pieces like this…we will call this the Memory Spray

The day of set up seeing you in your bridal Robe I couldn’t help but get emotional I clearly saw you running up as a little girl arms open wide for a Karlita hug only you can give then starting with whatever story you had to tell at the time and this time you walked up with a huge smile on your beautiful grown up face you were about to walk into a new chapter of your life a chapter we’ve all prayed for a chapter that would change your life forever… for all of us you’ve been our princess our stand in daughter you are so loved by all of us It seems unreal But what a neat blessing to see a young love like yours!!!
