The cook-off competition will be held May 4th at the Pleasanton River Park, with a cash payout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. Entry fee is $35, and all entries will receive 4 event tickets to the event as part of their package.

> Setup starts at 3:00 PM, and Judging starting at 6:30 PM.
>Bonus: tent decorating contest for $5 with 100% cash payout.

We wanted to inform you that due to essential renovations, the Civic Center will be temporarily closed next week from Monday to Wednesday, February 26th through the 28th. We are making improvements to better serve you and appreciate your patience during this time.

📞 For those with inquiries about rentals or any other matters usually addressed at the Civic Center, please note that all calls will be redirected to City Hall. Our staff will be more than happy to assist you with your needs.

Additionally, please be aware that all scheduled activities at the Civic Center, including senior dominoes, Zumba, and yoga, will be canceled during the closure.

Congratulations to Ian Rodriguez on his acceptance to Rice University! Ian plans on dual majoring in biochemistry and political science in the hopes of pursuing a career in dermatology or politics where he would like to one day be a member in the House of Representatives.

Our Emergency Management Department has established an Emergency Warming Center at the Pleasanton Civic Center. This warming station will be operational on an as-needed basis, starting from 7:30 am on Monday, January 15, until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, with the Pleasanton Fire Department serving as a backup location. The civic center will be equipped with security and personnel, offering water, cots if needed, and even a movie. Community members are encouraged to bring their own blankets, pillows, and snacks.

We're prepping for this weekend's Merry on Main, and for those planning to attend our downtown light parade, here is the parade route. (Parade starts at 6:30 pm, please see our latest post for the full schedule of events)

*Please note the parade route has been updated to show the Start/Finish at the Pleasanton High School (not the park, as shown in the original map) for those planning to watch the parade, please do not set up on Bensdale, because that is designated as an entry/exit area for the floats. This year Bensdale will be closed to allow floats to head back to the High School to dismantle from there.
