Well, it's that time of the year again! I'm starting to reach out to schools to set up author visits for the 2023-24 school year. And as part of that process, I'm updating all of my materials, including my website. I had received this lovely blurb from Britton Cook, the librarian at the Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School a couple of weeks ago but I was so busy that I didn't get to add it until now. I love that she asked some of the students for their input about the presentation and included it in the review. Of course, I'm thrilled that they enjoyed it and got so much out of it! Here's the blurb:

"So glad Dori Weintein came to visit our third through fifth graders! Her personality, presentation and honesty kept students engaged throughout. Dori really helps students understand the writing process. Carmella, who had read “Sliding Into the New Year” and loved it, remarked that she liked how “Dori explained where she got her ideas and how the publishing process works, including how many times she had to rewrite!” Caleb, a fifth grader, called her “inspiring” and can’t wait to read all of her books!
