At Pinewoods Camp, Plymouth MA

WHAT? Workshops, dances, concerts, one-shots, camper concerts, jamming, singing, swimming in two lovely ponds, relaxing, learning, and generally having fun. More specifically (subject to staff availability, phases of the moon, etc.):

- We'll start each day with warm-ups for singers and for dancers
- "If you don't pick it, it will never get better": Beginner to adva

nced classes many instruments
- Dancing: Advanced American contras and squares; Quebecois dances; plus evening dance parties for all
- Singarounds
- Ballads
- Jams of various varieties — old time, bluegrass, Celtic
- Spoken not Sung (story-telling, poems, monologues, etc.)
- Blues
- "Spotlight on ..." where staff members get to do whatever they choose
- Duckie Flash Mob Swim

. . . What else do you want? WHO? Singers, pickers, and dancers who love traditional music and dance. This event is being put together by a bunch of associated organizations, including:

- Branford Folk Music Society
- CD*NY (Country Dance * New York);
- FSSGB (Folk Song Society of Greater Boston);
- FMSNY (Folk Music Society of New York);
- FSGW (Folklore Society of Greater Washington);
- Golden Link Folk Singing Society
- LITMA (Long Island Traditional Music Association
- NEFFA (New England Folk Festival Association);
- NERFA (Northeast Regional Folk Alliance
- Traditional Song Forum (UK)

Plus others yet to be announced and with help and advice from CDSS (Country Dance & Song Society) and Youth Traditional Song Weekend. Members of these associated organizations will get the members' discounted rate. If your organization is interested, contact us. WHY? Because we are mad about traditional music and dance of all flavors. HOW MUCH? Members $; non-members $. This fee covers all events, lodging, and meals from dinner on Saturday through breakfast on Friday. Some scholarships and work scholarships are available — contact us if you are interested.

There are many crews at the festival and each has a staff member or "Chief". The jobs vary, and require adults 18 years and older. The time required of a Chief is more than of a crew member. Celebrating Francophonie Month and St Patrick's Day, Old Songs presents 3 themed concerts in March - in person AND live-streamed!
