Qualifications:
• Two years of hotel or building maintenance
• Experience in maintenance and repairs of mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, pool/whirlpool, fire equipment and sprinkler systems, carpets, furniture and fixtures
• Operation of common power and hand tools
• Possession of a vehicle, valid driver's license, and self-insurability
• Limited travel may be required for meetings and training activities
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Performs all specific and general repairs unless an outside contractor is authorized by general manager. All maintenance expenditures require approval of general manager.
2. Institutes and utilizes preventative maintenance programs for all the property equipment, guestrooms, mechanical and common areas.
3. Understands and applies all required safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.
4. Maintains pool, whirlpool, and fitness center according to specific local codes and brand standards.
5. Maintains outdoor appearance including lawn, landscaping and parking lot.
6. Meets department, and franchise standards.
7. Ensures the compliance of health and safety standards.
8. Available as primary maintenance person on call unless arrangements with general manager have been made.
Secondary Responsibilities:
1. Maintains inventory of maintenance equipment, tools and supplies in order to perform duties.
2. Provides assistance to all other departments and employees to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel.
3. Performs additional duties as assigned by assistant general manager or general manager
