The Bannock County Event Center, located in Pocatello, ID, offers an indoor arena, grandstands and race track, soccer fields, indoor event rooms, and an RV Park. Users of Bannock County social media forums must be notified on the forum site that:

K) Encouragement of illegal activity;

L) Conduct that violates any federal, state, or local law; or

M) Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems. If activity listed in i, j, k, l, or m occurs, employees must secure the information and notify the Bannock County Commissioners and/or Sheriff’s Office. Bannock County may edit, restrict, or remove, in whole or in part, any content that violates this policy or applicable law. Content that is edited or removed must be retained in accordance with the relevant retention schedule. This content must be accompanied by a description of the reason it was edited or removed, the date and time of edit or removal, and the identity of the person posting the content, if available. Bannock County may deny access to Bannock County social media at any time and without prior notice to any person who violates these content guidelines. 🛠👷VENUE UPDATE: New grandstands at the race track! 🏇

We’re excited to announce that the renovations to the grandstands at our race track are officially complete!

This was a huge project -- our entire staff chipped in to help make sure this was complete in time for the Pocatello Downs season.

The grandstands have new wooden seats and seat backs and a fresh coat of paint to brighten up the area.

Check out the new stands for yourself this weekend for Pocatello Downs!

Gates open at 12 p.m., and the first post time is 1 p.m.

Admission is $5, and children 12 and younger get in free. Concessions will be available.

🏕Scout Expo this Saturday!🏕

Local Scout units is hosting a Scout Expo from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Portneuf Wellness Complex’s pavilion #3. The free community event will feature around a dozen activities for youth and families with the theme “Why the Outdoors.” Planned activities include canoeing, casting for fishing, marble racers, monkey bridge, knots and lashings, climbing wall, rain-gutter regatta, archery, Lego derby, search and rescue gear and vehicles, ham radio demonstration, and more. 🤠 Rodeo season has officially begun at the Bannock County Event Center! Ihsra District-four held their first competition last weekend and will be back again this weekend (4/19 & 4/20) for more!

Events begin at 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. Bring the family to watch some classic rodeo events. Admission for adults is $5 and $3 for kids 3-17 y/o.

This Saturday, the Idaho Foodbank and volunteers will be distributing Thanksgiving Food Boxes!

The food box distribution is scheduled for Saturday, November 18, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the upper parking lot of the Bannock County Event Center.

The turkeys and supplies are donated from Pocatello's 10th Annual Cranksgiving Food Drive and donations to The Idaho Foodbank.

Want to donate? Turkeys and monetary donations can be dropped off at Barrie's Ski and Sports, or the Idaho Foodbank. All donations will need to be made by 10:00 am November 18th.

Pocatello's 10th Annual Cranksgiving Food Drive is this weekend! The donated turkeys will be distributed at the Bannock County Thanksgiving food box distribution, put on by The Idaho Foodbank.

The food box distribution is scheduled for Saturday, November 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the upper parking lot of the Bannock County Event Center.

Turkeys and monetary donations can be dropped off at Barrie's Ski and Sports, or the Idaho Foodbank.

All donations will need to be made by 10:00 am November 18th.

Grab your bait and fishing license, because Idaho Fish and Game Southeast Region just stocked 1,000 rainbow trout in our Bannock Reservoir! 🐟🎣 Fish and Game stocks our reservoir with more than 7,000 trout throughout the year, making it an ideal spot for the family to catch some fish. Today's batch comes from the American Falls Fish Hatchery and are about 10 months old, 10 inches long. The reservoir is expected to be stocked again in October.
