Due to persistent health issues I will only be taking on 5 weddings in 2024!
I'm so beyond grateful to all of my couples over the last DECADE for trusting me with their stories but I have to take a step back from big days 💜

Oh how 2022 went out with a bang! I had some health issues that I dealt with toward the end of the year but oh how I'm glad to be finishing these gorgeous galleries!

The Monahan's are married! At the stunning Smithfield Winery, Alyssa and Johnathan's day was just as much a dream as they were themselves!
But oh my, look at the center piece of their day! Alyssa is a well known and trusted baker in Hampton roads and designed her own dessert bar. The cupcakes were delicious but oh this cake!
Every line on her macrame cake was a piece of hand placed fondant, but this just shows how beautiful every detail that went into her day was!

Maggie and Megan not only had one photographer cancel but TWO!
I jumped on the opportunity and I'm so thankful I was able to capture their elopement for them! They are a stunning couple and I'm soooooo obsessed with their elopement 😍

Okay so we talk a ton about WHY you should hire a photographer for your proposal, but lets talk now about HOW you can hire a photographer for your proposal! (First of all, I know, "put this on his page not mine" girl send this to him, he'll get the message lol)

Plan ahead.
Don’t hire someone 1-2 weeks before your proposal, hire someone 1-2 months before! I know it’s exciting to do something spur of the moment but most photographers unless you’re doing this on a weekday in the middle of the day, it’s not recommended! Many photographers I know, myself included, are booked at least a month in advance for smaller sessions and even longer for others!

Ask around!
To find a photographer it can really be as simple as asking your best friend or your partners! Wedding photographers more often than not also shoot proposals.

Ask them questions! And be prepared to answer all of theirs!
What does their proposal package include? How many images? Do you capture the proposal and pictures after? How long will it take to get sneak peeks? How long until I get the full gallery? DO I get sneak peeks?
For questions they may ask you: Will it be a public or private proposal? What proposal locations are you considering? What time of day? And once you've selected your proposal photographer, be sure to read their contract carefully before moving forward.

I LOVE sessions when the whole family gets involved!
This sweet boy just needed some playing with grandpa and dad to get him smiling!
Did you guys know I never truly time my sessions? They can be super quick and take only 30 minutes or if little ones are fussy then they may take an hour or more! Timed sessions to me make everyone feel pressured and sometimes that means we don't get adorable pictures like this!

Happy Monday!
I have officially booked myself up for the rest of the year except for 1 day in November and 2 dates in December! My books are now open as well for 2023, so don't hesitate to wander over to my website and send in your inquiry!

I cannot believe that my 8th year of photography is coming to a close, how did we get to September this fast! I want to take a moment to truly thank every single one of you for all of the support and love from couples who have welcomed me into their families over the last almost decade. It's truly an honor to have been apart of your memories!

Now, on to this beautiful couple from this weekend!
What was supposed to be a rainy day ended up being so perfect for Katie and Lilo's summer wedding. They welcomed their families into an intimate ceremony in their back yard that was decorated so beautifully! My absolute favorite part was the confetti canons that went off just as they said I do!
