Are you ready to celebrate your special day in the perfect blend of rustic meets elegance venue?
A lot happening this weekend! Come join us on Friday night. We have a few more tickets for dueling pianos. The Huron County Hockey Association is putting it on! Come try to win an awesome teal golf cart.
Saturday Night we have a live band called Set ‘N’ Stone! 80’s music. 20.00 at the door BYOB. Hot dogs and brats will be served as well.
Also we have a new food truck coming! They will be located at the Bird Creek RV Resort. They are open to the public!
Funny story!
Yesterday we were working everywhere. Barn, RV Resort and up the road on a paint project.
I needed something from the shed so I drove over and found this car with the door open. So I stopped to check it all out.
I find two women and a young man standing next to our portable bar with Perry (my hubby) and Perry is opening up the portable bar. These two women were sobbing!!
I was thinking “oh Lord what is happening now!!”
Meet Lindsay, Jan, and Chase. They came last year and saw that their old horse trailer was parked in front of our building. It was in pretty rough shape. But they could not believe that their old horse trailer which took them every weekend to 4-H horse shows was standing before their eyes. It brought so many memories. They sold it YEARS ago!!
Fast forward to another time they did a drive by and it wasn’t sitting outside anymore. They were kind of sad thinking it was trashed.
But yesterday they were back in town and saw our remodeled portable bar sitting outside.
With lots of tears from memories and tons of stories of loading Dodger and Daisy (the 2 quarter horses that were their best friends) They were elated to see that the trailer wasn’t trashed. This trailer has made its way back to Port Austin from Lenawee County!!!
A true story of another persons trash is another persons treasure!!😊

As I sat down last night on December 30th, remembering my Father, on his 24th anniversary of his passing. I couldn’t help to think of all our brides sharing this special moment this year.
I was blessed to have my Dad walk me down the aisle 25 years ago. Dad had heart issues before our wedding, so I knew it was a pure gift that he was with me that April day in 1998. Don’t laugh, this was the style back then!
After all of our blood, sweat, and tears of building The Glenn Royal Barn Venue I promised myself I would stop and take this very precious moment of our brides and fathers or grandfather. I never needed to know the back history of their relationship.
I just knew that the men in their lives were chosen. Chosen to walk them down the aisle for their most special day ever. I knew that these people who were chosen, had been there for them in the bad times as well throughout their lives. That was enough for me…
This year has taught me, so much. But most of all:
There will be some people who don’t want you to win! WIN ANYWAY!
I can only pray that you are gifted with a special man in your life that will be chosen. Not only for the good times but for the bad times as well. I hope that you have that one person who truly wants you to WIN!

Not only is she a beauty, she is hard working, hilarious and so very talented. She has been the true artist in our family. And we all feel honored if we are lucky enough to get a piece of art from Alaina.
I had shown her my inspiration photo of the hummingbird painting that I wanted in our office.
We did have to switch gears because we had to put wood walls in the office, so it wasn’t going to be possible for her to do an actual wall painting. So she made this big canvas for me instead. I just love it with my whole heart. But I love it even more that it was made from family❤️❤️

We had the best time during our Labor Day Party.
We want to thank MaraBend, our local 80’s band for coming! It was outstanding! Tons of laughs were had and memories made.
We even had some line dances and two stepping happening thanks to our new friends!! Thank you guys.
This brings me to a question, should we host some line dances and two step classes in our off season?
So we can have more live bands and more dances throughout the year? Or when we don’t have a wedding booked?
