In celebration of Black History Month 2023, join us for a free tasting exhibit "A Taste of Heritage, History, and Hope".
Black food is American food that showcases community, culture, and resiliency. The Taste of Soul event will be a live-tasting exhibit that traces the delicious foods, moving throughlines from Africa, the Caribbean Islands, and Slavery to today’s succulent flavors of traditional 'soul food'!
During this event, guests will enjoy tasting signature drinks, and African/Black cuisine, from local and neighboring community restaurants.
A Taste of Soul will also showcase African American dance and music as it relates to history and culture as a race. Live entertainment will include spoken word by local activists, music, and dance. We hope community members will come out to learn, taste, and celebrate Black History with us! This cultural experience is bringing great food, culture, and entertainment to Port Huron.
This event is free however you must rsvp by claiming a ticket at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-taste-of-soul-free-tasting-exhibit-tickets-546328893427
