Every morning in Frankfurt, Germany, you might catch a glimpse of Jenny, a horse who goes on a long walk every morning, all by herself. She has been taking the same route every morning for 14 years, ever since her owner, now 79 years old, became unable to ride. She enjoys greeting all of the familiar faces along the way, and she stops and gets treats and pettings from some of her favorite humans. The locals treat her like a celebrity and happily clean up after her. A piece of paper is attached to her halter that reads, “My name is Jenny. I didn’t run away, I’m just walking. Thank you.” But the police get calls frequently from people who don’t know about the arrangement. They are very familiar with the horse and the owner, and there have been no incidents in 14 years. A local veterinarian gives her routine checkups and continues to find her to be healthy and showing no anxiety about her unique lifestyle.

"Today on Finnair we had a mother on board traveling with four little boys. Two of the boys were just babies. Naturally one cannot travel with two babies on a lap, so we had to solve the dilemma of a missing lap, otherwise it would have been a no go for mom and the kids. Luckily, we had our positioning crew on board and the wonderful pilot Tom took the task of being the extra-lap."

"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him.

Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had.

Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us."

Rare Blue Roan Horse ..🐎
Roan is a horse coat color pattern characterized by an even mixture of colored and white hairs on the body, while the head and "points"—lower legs, mane and tail—are mostly solid-colored. Horses with roan coats have white hairs evenly intermingled throughout any other color. The head, legs, mane and tail have fewer scattered white hairs or none at all.
The roan pattern is dominantly-inherited, and is found in many horse breeds. While the specific mutation responsible for roan has not been exactly identified, a DNA test can determine zygosity for roan in several breeds. True roan is always present at birth, though it may be hard to see until after the foal coat sheds out. The coat may lighten or darken from winter to summer, but unlike the gray coat color, which also begins with intermixed white and colored hairs, roans do not become progressively lighter in color as they age. The silvering effect of mixed white and colored hairs can create coats that look bluish or pinkish.

Most people have heard of Koko, the gorilla who could speak about 1000 words in Sign Language, and understand about 2000 in English. What most people don’t know, however, is that Koko was an avid Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood fan. When Fred Rogers took a trip out to meet Koko for his show, not only did she immediately wrap her arms around him and embrace him, she did what she’d always seen him do onscreen: she proceeded to take his shoes off.

They are marsupials, they do not transmit rabies and are indispensable for pest control, they are naturally docile and gentle, and when scared they show their teeth and hiss to appear menacing, but when they are terrified they don't "play" possum - they quite literally faint from fear - so do not harm them!"

Ron Howard, with his 1970 Volkswagen Bug. Howard purchased the car new in 1970 at age 16---it was his first car. He drove the VW until (around) 1976 when he got rid of it. A few years ago, Howard's brother-in-law found it in Redding, California--where Howard has a lot of relatives. The person that had it was using it to deliver eggs--and it still had Ron Howard's college sticker on it. Howard's brother-in-law repurchased it for him. He replaced the engine and shipped it back to Howard. Today Howard drives it regularly and says it is the only car he has ever loved. He credits his father for giving him the common sense as a teenager with money-- and buying a Volkswagen as opposed to something like a Corvette.

“There is a gentleman that was standing outside of my daughter's school this morning when I dropped off. I thought he was maybe waiting for a ride this afternoon but when I went back he was still standing there so I called the school and I asked what he was doing there and well obviously he volunteered to stand watch over the school.

That just literally made my day and I wanted to thank that gentleman for doing that because I think it's very courageous and it puts some of our hearts and minds at ease

I wanted to shake his hand but I didn't want to interrupt as he was doing a job. ❤️

He needs to be recognized because this is amazing.” 👏
