Yesterday was my first wedding expo. I had the opportunity to talk with so many amazing people. Here are a few takeaways from yesterday that might resonate with you.

Pretty much everyone is nervous. Is normal to be nervous. That usually lasts all of 5 minutes after we start shooting. I show you the back of the camera on a few images and you like damnnnn ok! Plus I’m goofy and make something that is very intimidating to some just a really fun process. It’s not awkward or uncomfortable. ( if you have had a session with me were you nervous and did it go away quickly? )

Many people have want to wait until ____! ( they loose the last x number of lbs , they get in better shape ect) We are our own worst critics. I love showing women what they look like through someone else eyes- Through my lens! I can’t tell you how many times I hear, is that me?!?! During their in person reveal.

Many tjmes people tell me they booked their session as a gift for a spouse or boyfriend but it really ended up being exactly what they needed themselves. I receive the most amazing messages tell me how it was the confidence boost they didn’t know they needed or that they now feel beautiful like their significant other tells them. These messages never get old and they are why I do what I do ❤️

If you have been thinking about a session go for it! You and or your spouse will thank me later 💋

Meet the team!
Hi 👋🏻 I’m Mindy I’m the owner of Her Studio! And the one behind the lens I’m a professional photographer, specializing in Bo***ir and branding photography. I have been a photographer for over 10 years but over the last couple years my path lead me to Bo***ir. I now know everything I did with Photography leading up to this point was to hone my skills and get me ready for THIS. ✨ I believe my time as a wedding photographer really allowed me to work in various conditions and master my lighting techniques, and the time I spent photographing countless births as a birth photographer really taught me the power of creating a safe space for women, where they feel completely comfortable during one of the most vulnerable times of their life❤️
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the special moments I was able to capture, but what I love most now is making women feel beautiful, creating art with them showcasing who they are and what makes them beautiful. seeing their entire perspective change from the time they enter the studio to when they leave it. It truly is something special to be a part of.

Meet the Artist Shelby:

Hi I am Shelby! I have been doing makeup professionally for the last 4 years. I have always loved makeup and use to sneak down to my mom’s vanity in the morning before school and just be in awe of everything. Fast forward a few years and I become a mom and wanted something that was for me Shelby. Not Shelby the wife, Eli and Sirena’s mom, but me Shelby. I took my love for makeup and taking care of people and launched SJ Makeup Artistry. I started out doing primarily bridal but now I have shifted to doing an all kinds of makeup.

Makeup for Bo***ir sessions really hold a special place in my heart. I think helping bring out that inner goddess everyone has in them is so special. If I can help you feel and look your best, then I have done my job.
