Potluck today dressed as a woman we each admired or influenced us. Best food ever, surrounded by original sculptures and paintings that were mind blowing; but nothing topped the stories that were told. If I was asked who in the world I'd want to have dinner with, living or not, I'd want these women. And no, I was not dressed as Carman Miranda.

Many thanks and much gratitude to Mr. Craig Reese, for replacing the rotted supports under our portico. The work's quality was exceptional; though he quoted us for both labor and materials, he donated his labor. He said he 'wanted to give something to the community". Port Orford may be small but its community spirit is mighty.

Tickets are available for Murder on the Rocks, an original murder mystery performed by narrative while the audience enjoys refreshments and tries to solve the murder. Only 40 available tickets can be purchased at 1536 Jackson Street, Monday through Wednesday, from 9:30 to 12:00 pm, or by appointment by calling 541.332.5771, or by email at [email protected].

Attention all Port Orford Senior & Activity
Center members. July is almost here and current memberships are expiring. Stop in and renew your membership for $10.

We have rebounded from COVID and now provide fitness classes 4 days a week. The Zumba class will be Zumba-ing in the 4th of July parade. We have Bridge for beginners, the best pool table in Port Orford, a new rotating puzzle table, Bingo, Taco Friday, a rotating Starving Artists Sale, an art & craft sale, and a bustling Thrift Store. There are many volunteer opportunities as well. If you have questions, email us at [email protected]. Or come sign up Monday through Wednesday from 9:30-12 pm or by appointment.

Follow us at https://www.facebook.com/portorfordcenter for more details. In addition, a new series of art for sale will begin the same day and time as the Art Cafe, with refreshments.
