To all my trivia teams. I will no longer be hosting trivia at TailGators on Thursdays. I was informed Thursday night that they have decided to move forward in a different direction. I will admit, I was surprised by this- or rather the timing of it but, not for the reason itself. A few weeks ago, I made a change to my trivia to no longer lend voice to any political coding or expressions. Subsequently, a few teams decided they would no longer come out to my trivia. That was their choice. The decision to change my trivia was my choice. I stand by my decision.

That being said, I have no animosity towards Tailgators as it is not personal, but business. They allowed me for many years, to hone and perfect my craft. I truly am now a "Trivia Master" lol. The seeds of my company started with trivia. I am thankful for that opportunity. I will miss the teams and the many friendships I made. I had a lot of fun and made a lot of great memories! I thank you for supporting me through the years. As they say, "The show goes on....."

As I turn the page, I will only be hosting trivia on Wednesday nights at Maya's Mexican Grille in Palm City. For those of you who have come to expect trivia that is second to none, I invite you to come out and join me. I have no plans at this time to pickup a Thursday night trivia as I have spent the last eight years doing so. It is time for a well deserved and long overdue rest. I look forward to seeing you all out soon! Take care of yourselves and God Bless.

P.S. Regarding the SummerSlam tournament, if you come out to Maya's to play, I will keep the scores you have accumulated thus far.... 🙂

TONIGHT IT BEGINS:

The 12 week tournament “SummerSlam” kicks off!

Here’s how it works. The winning team from each night will have their scores recorded. Whatever team has the highest cumulative point total at the end of the tournament will crowned Champion! There will be a Champion for each location (Maya’s and TailGators-East)

If your team wins the tournament, they will receive $90 cash, and a personalized Championship belt!

If you are the Grand winner between both of the locations, you will take home a GRAND PRIZE!

Does your team have what it takes to rise to the occasion? Will you be the SummerSlam ‘24 Champion?! 💪🏾

To all of my trivia teams. As you know, by playing with me, I am pretty neutral when it comes to politics. My games are solely about fun, competition and great entertainment! We all see and have seen how divisive politics can be and are. There is no place for that in my trivia games. I use trivia as an extension of myself (just as I do with music) to help bring people together. That's my motive.

Effective immediately, teams names with political and/or political coding will not be allowed (for either side) just as I do not allow overtly violent or sexual team names. Whether intentionally or unintentionally I will not give voice to any political expression(s). I offer only high quality entertainment. Just as you would not find any of this on Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune or even Family Feud, you will no longer find it at my trivia.

Come out and join me for food and drink, a great time and good competition!

I had to share this beautiful moment. Sometimes things are just meant to be.
Yesterday, I was asked to deejay a class reunion but, not just any reunion. It was the 60th reunion of Stuart Training School.

For those of you who don’t know, STS was founded for “colored” children before segregation was ended in the public school systems. STS existed for over 30 years. I grew up in East Stuart where the school was originally located. It goes without saying I knew many of the people and their families who came up through STS, including my family. In many ways it felt like my own family reunions. I really missed those days…

On June 1st, unlike the last previous (Hot!) days, the weather was absolutely beautiful by the water in Downtown Stuart! The turnout was great and the event was catered with some really delicious food! It was a day to remember.

The highlight was the various classes, but especially the Class of ‘64 singing their Fight Song! I was moved to tears. Sometimes, things are just meant to be. ❤️🥹

Sunday was a great day! Part 2

After singing at the stadium, it was down to Stuart for Jazz in the Park. The temperature was perfect and we had a great turnout! A very special thank you to Chavonya Leonard for coming through at the last minute with her food truck!

Our guest performer- Saxophonist, David Ferguson put on a show! Lastly, after polling the crowd, we will have Sunday Jazz in the Park each 4th Sunday of the month from October- May of each year!

SJP will also be in Indiantown as well. The last show (for Stuart) is April 28th, 4-7pm
Bausham Stewart, Hosny Franck & Mark Patton will join me for the concert starting at 6pm. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Why, do I love my trivia teams?
As some of you may know I host a yearly trivia tournament between both of my trivia venues (Maya’s and TailGators). The “Grand” Champion receives a signed cardboard cutoff of me wearing the “belt”!
Here’s what they’ve done:
