Sorry this post will be longer than usual, so as you guys know my style is light/airy but still true to color because you know I love the golden hour! But did you guys know I also dabble a bit into moody edits. I don't like moody edits for all shoots not my vibe, to each their own, but when a bride tells me she is having a spooky themed wedding and that she has a black wedding dress and asks me to edit more moody, my answer will always be "Hell Yeah!"
Ahhh this wedding was a true haunted vision come to life. First of all Britt's dad Steve is probably the biggest fan of Halloween I've ever met! So their theme of "Til Death," could not have been more perfect. I'm telling you Britt put in the work and it could not have been more perfect! They already had most of the decor, they had all the skeletons for their props, they had unique skeleton figurines at every guest table. Her dad Steve even built a custom bar for this wedding that I wish I could buy haha but I have no room for it! Not to mention her dad has a dungeon vibe bar/speakeasy in their own basement, I mean COME ON! It was perfect!!!
When I tell you this wedding was planned to the "T" not a single detail missed I'm not kidding. This wedding was so well planned out and meticulously set up that I told the bride like at least 3 times that she should be a wedding planner! From the themed snacks and desserts, the decor and signs, the groom and groomsmen's matching skull bling cufflinks, the leave a voicemail set up for the guests, the temporary tattoo table (such a unique and cool idea), the blankets for the outdoor ceremony, the skull decor, the blinged out spider on Britt's bouquet, ahhh I could go on and on! I mean her dad transporting in a pair of black and white vintage cars.
Oh one more thing shout out to the dj, for having a fog machine perfect for the theme and it went amazingly well with my spotlight for the first dance I would say! 🤩
The photographer heart of mine is still a little sad and broken that it ended up raining I could have taken photos of Britt and Mike for hours with those cars! Maybe I can convince Britt to put her dress on just for the car photos. Damn Michigan downpour that came through. Luckily for us it came after the outdoor ceremony, family photos and wedding party photos!
