The Mobile Secretary of State event scheduled for today has been RESCHEDULED for Wednesday, December 18. If you were scheduled for an appointment today, you will be receiving a call from a PZSC staff member to reschedule your appointment. There will be additional appointments available, so feel free to give us a call at 269.329.4555 if you'd like to be added to the schedule.

The Michigan Secretary of State Mobile Office will be at the PZSC on Thurdsay, December 12, from 10 AM - 3 PM. We still have open appointment spots available. Give us a call at 269.329.4555 to schedule an appointment today!

Per PZSC policy, all instructor-led activities and special events are canceled today. The Center will still be open for drop-in activities. There are no fitness classes today. The Veterans Luncheon and Monkey Bingo Business are both canceled. If you have a question about a particular activity, you can call the Canter at 269-329-4555. Stay safe and warm out there! *Edited to add* The Secretary of State Mobile office has been rescheduled.

Greetings! The Portage Zhang Senior Center is OPEN today until 7:30 PM. However, per PZSC policy, all instructor-led and special events are canceled. Closing at 5 PM Today Due to Winter Storm

Due to the impending winter storm, the City of Portage and the Portage Zhang Senior Center will close early today, December 4, 2024, at 5 PM. This adjustment is being made to prioritize the safety of our employees, allowing them extra time to travel home ahead of deteriorating road conditions.

The City of Portage intends to reopen for regular business hours on Thursday, December 5, weather permitting. Any updates regarding city operations will be shared on the official City of Portage website and social media channels.

We encourage residents to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. For emergency assistance, dial 9-1-1 or non-emergency dispatch at (269) 488-8911.

🎉🦃 Turkey Time Alert! 🦃🎉

The PZSC team is taking a well-deserved break to let the turkey settle and the pie cool. We’ll be closed from November 28th through December 1st to celebrate Thanksgiving (and recover from all that food!).

But don’t worry, we’ll be back bright and early at 8:00 AM on Monday, December 2nd, ready for your jokes, dances, and coffee refills.

Don't miss a rare public performance by the Portage Zhang Senior Center Band on Tuesday, December 3, at 3:00 PM at Crossroads Mall (near the food court)!

Typically, this talented 30+ member band performs private concerts at senior living facilities—but this is your chance to experience their music live.

Happy Monday, Portage!

As we gear up for Thanksgiving week, here's a quick reminder: all non-emergency city offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, so our staff can enjoy the holiday with their families.
