Winter Walking is returning in January! During the coldest months of the year, the indoor tracks at Portage Central High and Portage Northern High are opened to the community for Winter Walking.

6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Jan. 7, 2025 through March 6, 2025:
(no Walking on Thursday, Jan. 16, for half day)
- Tuesdays at Portage Central Stable
- Thursdays at Portage Northern Dog House

Author Robert Weir has journeyed through the Himalayas twice. Traveling alone and at his own pace, he has seen magnificent places and engaged in cultural conversations. In “India Himalayan Adventures,” Robert takes you on a journey to ride buses on the infamous Leh-Manali Highway (narrow, muddy, no guardrails); sleep in mountain yurts; work with Architects without Borders to rebuild homes after a killer flood; engage in personal conversations with delightful merchants in their tiny, open-air shops; talk with young Buddhists who risk their lives to help their families who are politically trapped in Tibet; and more. The first-ever PZSC Holiday Showcase was a smashing success! Attendees heard from the PZSC hand chimes and guitar clubs, and got to see demonstrations from both the BeMoved and Tap Dance classes. Thanks to all of the performers, attendees, volunteers and staff that made this holiday event so fun.

The Mobile Secretary of State event scheduled for today has been RESCHEDULED for Wednesday, December 18. If you were scheduled for an appointment today, you will be receiving a call from a PZSC staff member to reschedule your appointment. There will be additional appointments available, so feel free to give us a call at 269.329.4555 if you'd like to be added to the schedule.

The Michigan Secretary of State Mobile Office will be at the PZSC on Thurdsay, December 12, from 10 AM - 3 PM. We still have open appointment spots available. Give us a call at 269.329.4555 to schedule an appointment today!

Per PZSC policy, all instructor-led activities and special events are canceled today. The Center will still be open for drop-in activities. There are no fitness classes today. The Veterans Luncheon and Monkey Bingo Business are both canceled. If you have a question about a particular activity, you can call the Canter at 269-329-4555.
