Dr. Patti Dobson…always a beacon of hope and positivity. We love you and will miss you beyond measure.

One of the first ENMU employees that I met so long ago. 15 years of department chair meetings to which Patti regularly brought homemade baked goods. Need I say more? She was joy!

I don’t think I’ve met a more authentic human being in my life.

Our prayers of love and support are with her beloved husband, Wayne, her family, and everyone in her vast network of friends.

Our Story

The Department of Music is committed to serve students, the University, community, and region through a broad range of artistic and cultural opportunities. These reflect both the diversity and heritage of the arts. The department focuses on the development of the individual student so each might find meaning and fulfillment as an artist, as an educated member of society and as an expressive human being. As members of the ENMU College of Fine Arts, the department contributes to the college’s numerous concerts, recitals, stage productions and art exhibitions throughout the year. A variety of classes, music ensembles, drama productions and art exhibitions are available to the University and community, both during the daytime and evening hours.
