All you need is love—and Community Investments Program grants.

Every year, New York, N.Y., Lodge No. 1 uses a Beacon Grant to host a Valentine’s Day dance for Camp Anchor, a local program dedicated to serving children and adults with special needs. 145 people attended the event last year, which included a large dinner, heart-shaped cookies for dessert, and a Beatles cover band!

“The Elks who participated last year had a wonderful time helping,” says Grants Coordinator Lisa Moldovan. “We are very grateful to have the opportunity to help these people and families again in 2025.”

Did you know that the Elks National Veterans Memorial and Headquarters is a designated landmark in the city of Chicago?

Built in 1926, the building was originally dedicated to the memory of the more than one thousand Elks lost in World War I. Since then, it has been re-dedicated to succeeding generations of our nation’s veterans.
