I really love the Blondie version of this. But who originally wrote and performed it? The band the Nerves, featuring Peter Case, who later went on to be part of the killer LA band the Plimsouls.

This original performance is pretty good, which is why Blondie, after hearing a cassette tape of it, decided to cover it. The rest is history.

Back when, just a few days before the former guy was elected, I DJ'd brunch at Dot's Cafe. The setup was a bit unstable, so there are some skips, but it was fun anyway. Got a bit energetic during this set, though the crowd was festive so it just felt right to me that day.

Ironically, I started with Bowie's Changes.
