ral Ticketing Information
Official Ticket Outlet
PortTIX is the only authorized outlet for tickets to shows listed on this website. Tickets purchased from other sources are not guaranteed to be genuine and are purchased at the patron’s own risk. Tickets purchased from other sources can’t be reprinted or replaced if lost. Buying Online
For the smoothest buying experience, please log in to your account before choosing your seats. If you do not have an account, please create one. Tickets may be purchased online up to 1 hour before each event, unless otherwise noted. Tickets may be purchased over the phone or in person until curtain time for most performances. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. In the event of a show cancellation, ticket prices may be refunded at the promoters discretion, but handling fees are non-refundable. Please read our Policies, Terms and Conditions. Beware of the 3rd party ticketing sites and ticket resale sites. These are not legitimate ticket sellers. PortTIX cannot take responsibility for the validity of tickets purchased from unauthorized agents or other sources. If you do not receive a valid ticket from a 3rd party site, we unfortunately cannot guarantee admission to the event. PortTIX believes that customers shouldn’t have to pay a marked up price for tickets. It is therefore sometimes necessary to hold tickets at the Box Office for collection on the night of performance. In these circumstances, the ticket buyer will be required to produce the credit/debit card used for the original transaction and/or a valid form of photo ID to pick up their tickets on the night of the show. PortTIX reserves the right to cancel tickets if we have reason to believe that tickets will be resold on a 3rd party site. We ask all customers to adhere to published ticket limits. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders cancelled without notice. Please know that we are working hard to combat scalpers, including occasionally adding captchas. So you may need to occasionally check a box on our website to prove you aren’t a scalper bot! Scalpers have a huge industry and lots of money to spend on deceiving ad campaigns. Therefore, we need your help to spread the word that 3rd party resale sites are not legit and make it harder for true fans to get tickets. A word to a friend or a quick post on social media can do a lot of good. Thanks for helping making sure that true fans get access to the shows they want to see!

The recipient of the 2023 Ellis-Beauregard Foundation Choreographer Award, Kayla Farrish is a Black interdisciplinary artist merging dance, theater, filmmaking, narrative, and sound score. Her work captures the ranging identity, mythical dualities of history and present survival of Black and Brown lineages, and powerful dreaming leading to liberation.

Embracing radical movements of freedom and humanity, Farrish works in collaboration with musicians and other artists to create live performance, films, and site-specific/immersive experiences. Inspired by jazz musicians, poets and writers, and community, she reflects our stories as we together imagine new futures. Farrish has been commissioned by Limon Dance Company, ODC Theater, Louis Armstrong House Museum, Harlem Stage. Her work has been featured at Lincoln Center, Park Avenue Armory, Symphony Space, and National Sawdust, and has received support from Baryshnikov Arts Center, La Mama Theater, Watermill Center for the Arts, and others.

✨OVATIONS STAFF PICKS✨
"One of the performances I am most looking forward to this season is by composer/flutist/vocalist Natalie Joachim. There are many, many reasons why this concert glimmers on the horizon for me. First and foremost is Joachim’s unique musicality – how she merges her classical training with her Caribbean lineage and contemporary music making practices. It is cross sections like these that always push my thinking about music – its shape, sounds, origins. More often than not, I hear a sound I’ve never heard before or have an emotional response that is unexpected. Another reason I so look forward to this concert is it’s a way of looking back at Ovations’ 94-year history of presenting chamber and classical music, pausing to think how far that has come. The chamber music of today is well beyond standard definitions of what, who and where it is performed … just like the concert with Joachim, when together we will get to experience a Haitian-American woman who graduated from Julliard performing in a rock club accompanied by a full band and electronics."
