Something we see so often are our couples worrying themselves into knots that they’re behind, or too late, or not going to have a great day marrying their best friend. There is always time.

While we always recommend starting early so you have less pressure and more options, remember that you’re planning this often for the first time, and in whatever free time you have outside of the rest of your lives!

Will you open a bottle of wine and start your registry? There’s a weird lull between booking vendors and wedding day, but we promise you this is NORMAL!

Planning is peaks and valleys. Work on your details, dust off the old Pinterest board, or start thinking about your ancillary events: bridal shower, bach parties, rehearsal dinner. Planning a destination wedding? Keep an eye on flights and make sure your travel is arranged.

Airy, elegant, whimsical, and luxe 🤍 who wouldn’t want an ice cold cocktail in hand at an ethereal garden party wedding on the most perfect summer day?

This color scheme is so soft and luxurious - and is a great example of where to start when making a palette!

Start by considering the season and location of your wedding, as these can naturally inspire your color choices. (Look at slide 1 - the wallpaper!) Look to your dress, your venue, or even your personal preferences for a base color or theme that feels meaningful. 🙆‍♀️

Finally, aim for a balance of neutrals, accent shades, and a pop of something bold or unique to create visual interest without overwhelming the design. We also recommend transitional shades. How do you get from white to red, for example? PINK! 🌷

Today the opened their reservations for 2025 weddings 🌿🌲🌳🌱 one of our forever favorites is the Redwood Observation Deck at the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland.

Surrounded by towering redwoods, this idyllic ceremony site is tucked in the trees and ferns, transporting you and your guests into a verdant fantasy.

Pro tip: this space is perfect for an intimate ceremony followed by photos and champagne 🥂 with a reception at a second location. The trek down is a little long - so consider extra time when slotting for rentals and setup. The payoff is saying your vows in one of the most iconic PNW places ever — the forest!

When you’re considering a bouquet type, ask yourself a few things:

1. What’s the weather going to be like on wedding day?
2. Are there any flowers you want prominent? Are they in season?
3. You won’t be holding it the entire day, but know you’re going to be holding it for a while. Do you want something large? Know it will be heavier!
4. Are you wanting to preserve or keep your bouquet after wedding day?
