Today the opened their reservations for 2025 weddings 🌿🌲🌳🌱 one of our forever favorites is the Redwood Observation Deck at the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland.

Surrounded by towering redwoods, this idyllic ceremony site is tucked in the trees and ferns, transporting you and your guests into a verdant fantasy.

Pro tip: this space is perfect for an intimate ceremony followed by photos and champagne 🥂 with a reception at a second location. The trek down is a little long - so consider extra time when slotting for rentals and setup. The payoff is saying your vows in one of the most iconic PNW places ever — the forest!

5️⃣ Draft a guest list - it doesn’t have to be exact. Having a ballpark will help you when reaching out to vendors. Unsure? Most weddings we see these days are between 60-150 people.

Let’s talk about BOUQUETS! 💌 So many options, so many styles.

When you’re considering a bouquet type, ask yourself a few things:

1. What’s the weather going to be like on wedding day?
2. Are there any flowers you want prominent? Are they in season?
3. You won’t be holding it the entire day, but know you’re going to be holding it for a while. Do you want something large? Know it will be heavier!
4. Are you wanting to preserve or keep your bouquet after wedding day?

A great florist can guide you through this process during a consultation. They’re the magic makers 💐

We’re going to kick off our month of vendor gratitude by highlighting some of our favorite Seattle and Washington photographers!

Photographers are of course a crucial part of any vendor team / and there’s so much they do for that WE’RE thankful for! For example:

1. Helps us pace the timeline with photo schedules
2. Keeps communication open for wedding day changes
3. Captures the day (well, yeah!)
4. Gives us beautiful examples of vendors and their work for future couples
5. A great excuse for when the couple needs a break (pro tip: sunset photos are a great time for this)
6. Professional Guest Wranglers (looking at you, Aunt Linda!)

There's a lot of logistics involved, but you know this ain't our first rodeo!
