Happy New Year’s Day! We’re ending our countdown and welcoming the new year with this beautiful wedding from January of 2019. It was really tempting to post something big, ✨sparkly✨, and extravagant— but that didn’t feel quite right for our final nod to a year that has honestly been anything but.
This wedding look was simple and classic, quietly setting a mood and making every moment feel beautiful and special. This past year we obsessed over every tiny detail of each small, intimate event that came our way. We found so much joy in those moments of celebration, and THAT’S what we want to carry into 2021.
As I looked through our top posts, this one stood out to me. Something about the perfect silence of the venue the night before the event, when everyone is gone and we’re just doing our final check that the lighting will be perfect for the next day. The slow walk down the aisle and into a promising unknown.
This video felt right for this moment. We can’t know what this new year will bring, but we’re taking the best of what we learned in 2020 and stepping forward into the future.
