From chuppah to chandelier! This was a fun challenge. What looked like a traditional chuppah for the ceremony was actually a floating floral chandelier with zip tied posts at each corner. By constructing it this way we could easily clip off the posts and leave the primary chandelier behind to create a focal point over the sweetheart table for the reception. Voila!

I've gone rogue and blogged! Twice! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​First up, Taylor and Chris' beautiful, modern, November wedding at ! .jake really had fun with this one. I'm loving how he captured the mood through a mix of techniques such as black and white and blur along with his classic color.

Secondly, I've gotten real crazy and did a bit of an editorial about my thoughts on floristry as a career. In a few weeks Blum will hit it's 19th anniversary. Needless to say, the industry has changed a lot since then! When I started there were basically two routes most florists went down, retail or wholesale. Now there are a ton of different options for people starting out or looking to transition. I hope you enjoy!

The final few wedding weekends of every year are always extra special. While my body and mind are certainly ready for some rest there's also a part of me that's a little sad (and almost confused!) at the thought of a Saturday without onsite creation and beauty.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Taylor and Chris' wedding this past weekend at Amaterra was modern and whimsical and super romantic. The flip was a puzzle and the pieces came together beautifully.
