Art of Catering is looking to expand our sales planning and marketing team.
We are currently looking to hire an Event Sales and Planning Assistant.
The Sales and Planning Assistant role will support our Sales and Planning team with administrative tasks, client correspondence, event ex*****on, and IG social media marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Answering phones and completing the New Client Intake form.
Developing and revising Proposals/Contracts.
Creating and revising event floor plans.
Coordinating client meetings, walkthroughs, and venue site meetings.
Reviewing event rental orders for accuracy.
Coordinating onsite rental deliveries and distribution.
Providing event day support for service and kitchen teams, as needed.
Managing Art of Catering and The Midtown venue social media.
Taking photos at events for social media and marketing purposes.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in the event industry, preferably within catering or event planning.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and to lift and/or move 20 – 50 lbs.
• A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required for this position.
Compensation
Hourly, $20 to $25/hour based on experience.
