When a professional basketball player wants to get married in the middle of the season, we spring into action—fast. With just eight days to find a venue, design the wedding, and manage all logistics, we crafted an intimate and elegant Oregon Wine Country microwedding at Del Mar Villa.

Originally planned as an outdoor ceremony, the weather technically held out—but it was bitterly cold. To preserve the feeling of an open-air celebration without subjecting guests to the freezing temperatures, we positioned the ceremony in front of the villa’s stunning lawn, opening the doors and removing the screens for an uninterrupted view. A meadow of lilacs indoors created a breathtaking, fragrant setting that felt both organic and refined. Simple, just the way our couple wanted it to be. Lilac, the bride’s favorite color, was the focal point of the design, adding a deeply personal touch to every detail.

Beyond the tight planning timeline, cultural considerations added an extra layer of complexity, ensuring every detail aligned perfectly with our couple’s vision and traditions. We also worked closely with the groom’s private chef to design an afternoon and evening that reflected their simple yet deeply personal wishes—an intimate, heartfelt celebration tailored just for them.

We woke up to a fresh blanket of snow, with the small lake we live on nearly frozen over. The stillness is a welcome contrast to life’s constant motion. First thing this morning, our little boys ran in with big hugs and sweet Valentine’s wishes—such a perfect way to start the day.

Tonight, we’re off to a special Valentine’s celebration at a beautiful venue in wine country. When the weather had other plans, we made magic happen—seamlessly transforming this garden-chic reception into an elegant indoor affair without losing an ounce of romance.

Originally, our team had these stunning king’s tables set in front of a Tuscan-inspired villa in Oregon wine country, with vineyards and blueberry fields as the perfect backdrop. But when an unexpected rain shower rolled in, we had to pivot—fast. In a true all-hands-on-deck moment, the team lifted the fully set tables over hedges, carried them across the property, and reset everything inside the ballroom. The best part? Guests never suspected a thing.

Inside, the scene was straight out of Bridgerton, with a lilac-infused wedding design that felt effortlessly romantic. As a personal touch, the groom’s favorite color—purple—was woven throughout.

From mismatched vintage china and timeless flatware to custom menus with monogrammed wax seals and delicate bows, every element was distinctive and personal. The lush florals were pure magic, overflowing in soft, fragrant abundance.

Outside the world of weddings, Shauna keeps busy shuttling her two boys to their activities, enjoying quality time with family and friends, or doting on her golden retriever, Otter. When the invitation becomes an experience ✨ We worked closely with our couple and their stationer to design a custom wine box invitation suite that reflected their love of wine, travel, and sharing their authentic story. From start to finish, their weekend celebration began with this first presentation to their guests.

The monogram was elegantly stamped onto the wine box, a miniature bottle of wine was adorned with a custom invitation label, and the suite—watercolored to perfection—emulated the charm of aged parchment with a painted map, details card, and weekend itinerary. Sealed with a wax monogram, every detail set the tone for a luxurious destination summer weekend at Domaine Serene.

Because every extraordinary wedding begins with an invitation that tells your story. 🍷💕

This black-tie microwedding on the cliffs of the Oregon Coast redefined unexpected elegance. Surrounded by the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean on all three sides, guests dined under a canopy of lights on a beautifully plated dinner, serenaded by a live five-piece band.
