This past Friday, the Oregon State University Alumni Association (OSUAA) Board of Directors came together at the OSU Portland Center for a productive and inspiring meeting.

Their discussions focused on strengthening connections within the Beaver alumni network, exploring innovative ways to support students, and planning exciting initiatives for 2025.

Elephants Delicatessen provided the delicious catering that kept everyone fueled and focused throughout the day.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the Oregon State University Alumni Association (OSUAA) and Oregon State University Foundation from main campus for a meet & greet and tour of our center here in Portland!

The day was filled with great conversations about expanding Portland outreach, using the center as a hub for impactful events, and strengthening connections with alumni living and working in the metro area.

From networking opportunities to ways to stay involved locally, we explored how we can continue to support the OSU Alumni mission right here in Portland.

A big shoutout to HOTLIPS Pizza for providing delicious pizza and salads, and an even bigger thank you to Suzanne for organizing such a successful and engaging event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—it was fantastic to see so much Beaver spirit in one room!

We had an incredible experience at the recent Bioclear Matrix dental lecture held at the OSU Portland Center! This event was all about rejuvenating and restoring unique smiles using the innovative Bioclear Method for composite restorations.

It was inspiring to see so many dental professionals passionate about advancing their skills and enhancing patient care.

We saw a 60% increase in event and meeting bookings, a 30% rise in new clients, and launched our social media platforms to better connect with our community.

We had a fantastic time hosting the Samvera West Coast Regional Meeting back in October!

This gathering brought together a diverse group of Samvera Community members—including Hyku, Avalon, and Hyrax users—from across the West and beyond. Attendees included repository managers, developers, librarians, archivists, administrators, and more, all united by a shared passion for advancing repositories and open-source innovation.

The meeting featured community updates, product insights, and dynamic discussions about the future of shared work.

Meet Gordon Fenn, Director of Donor Experience at the Oregon State University Foundation. Gordon thrives on connecting with colleagues, alumni, donors, and more throughout the state and region. Working from the Portland Center allows him to combine his passion for his city with his professional goals. He appreciates the opportunity to engage with OSU’s mission and values, and he feels connected to the vibrant revitalization of downtown. The center’s mid-century design, with its touches of Oregon and OSU branding, resonates with him—it's stylish and open, perfect for collaboration. Plus, being just steps away from his favorite snacks and local eateries makes it easy for him to connect with others and foster a sense of community.

Meet Breanna Grigsby, Associate Director of Events for the College of Business. Breanna organizes a wide range of events across Portland and Corvallis, including the Pacific Northwest Sales Competition, Advisory Council Meetings, Family Enterprise Research Conferences, MBA Panels and more. In a recent discussion, Breanna expressed her enthusiasm for the OSU Portland Center and what sets it apart for hosting events. Meet the OSU Portland Center based Beaver Sports Properties Team! Beaver Sports Properties is the local Learfield team dedicated to representing Oregon State University. In complete collaboration with the university, this team is committed to extending the affinity of the Beavers' brand to businesses and corporations of all sizes looking to align with the undeniably loyal and passionate collegiate fan base. This Valentine’s Day is extra sweet 🍪 Members of the OSU Portland Center came together to bake goods in support of our annual OSU Food Drive. We are continuing to collect canned goods, nonperishable, and monetary donations all month long. If you are in the Meier & Frank Building please stop by the 2nd Floor for some delicious baked goods from OSU and Great Harvest Bread Co.
