📣 Jay County Fair Annual Meeting Update 🎡

Today, the Jay County Fair held its annual meeting, where Aaron Loy, David Bricker, Trent Paxson, Bubba Swoveland, and Dillon Muhlenkamp were re-elected to serve on the board for the next three years.

Following the annual meeting, the board held its reorganization meeting and re-elected the following officers:
➡️ Aaron Loy – President
➡️ Jeremy Lewis – Vice President
➡️ Dillon Muhlenkamp – Secretary
➡️ Travis Theurer – Treasurer

We also want to extend our gratitude to Todd Skirvin, who resigned from the board after two years of dedicated service. Thank you, Todd, for all your contributions! Todd's replacement will be finishing his term, which expires at the end of 2025.

If you’re a stockholder and interested in serving on the board, please email us at [email protected]. Joining the fair board is a year-long commitment with regular meetings and events throughout the year.

Tonight, we have a special addition to the HoliJay Lights! Fellowship Baptist Youth Group will be there to greet you and then Portland Church of the Brethren will be there caroling as well. 🎼🎄

We hope that you will love the caroling as you enter the light display!

It may be cold outside 🥶🧊, but tonight and tomorrow will be beautiful nights to drive through the fairgrounds to see all of the Christmas lights!🎄

Both nights will be open from 6pm-9pm and the Fellowship Baptist Youth Group will be working the gate. They will receive 25% of the free will donations given

The Annual Jay County Fair Stockholders Meeting will be held on Saturday, December 14th. This is a great opportunity to get involved and learn about the progress of the fair, upcoming events, and share your thoughts for the future!

Reminder as you drive through the fairgrounds this month that we have barriers throughout the grounds to help with the Christmas lights. We have had several gates that have been ran over in the past couple weeks.

Please pay extra attention while driving through the grounds.

Tonight or tomorrow will be great nights to see all of the Christmas lights at the fairgrounds! The Fellowship Baptist Youth Group will be working the gate on Saturday 11/30, and then Mini 4-H will be on Sunday Dec 1st. Each group will receive 25% of the free will donations from those nights!

Make sure you plan to come visit the HoliJay Lights to see the big trees in lit up action, along with all of the other displays! 🎄

Our giant beauties are now lit! ⭐️🎄

After you are done enjoying the Parade of Lights in downtown Portland at 6:30, swing out to the fairgrounds until 9pm to check out the HoliJay Lights!

How many feet of lights and how many individual lights are on our big tree? Tell us your best guesses in the comments! 😆

We are so excited to have this beautiful, HUGE Christmas tree for you all to enjoy while Cruz'n the HoliJay Lights at the Fair this year. More details to come in regards to Lighting up the Tree. In the meantime, enjoy watching it make it's trek through Portland and delivered to the fairgrounds! Thank you to everyone that made the impossible are reality.

Fall Clean-Up Demolition Derby! Join us on October 20th at the Jay County Fairgrounds for a thrilling day, hosted by McAfee Recycling and the Jay County Fair. All proceeds benefit the Jay County Fair Infield Project! 🗓️ Date: October 20th ⏰ Time: 1:00 P.M. 📍 Location: Jay County Fairgrounds 🎟️ Tickets: Box Seats: $25 Pit Pass & Grandstand Seat: $20 (access to both!) 🛻 Truck parking will be available along the fence on the day of the event. 💥Plus, don't miss the Power-wheels races at the start of the event!💥 Interested in sponsoring?
