Using audience suggestions and stories, Capital City Improv creates an entire holiday special based on the timeless classics from the Hallmark Channel.

Since 2012, Capital City Improv has been presenting long and short form improv shows around the central and southern Maine area with a troupe of trained improvisers and comedians. Join us for this holiday show as Capital City Improv creates an entire holiday extravaganza, right before your eyes! The world needs more laughter.

Please join Peace Action Maine and Maine Veterans for Peace on Saturday, November 30th at 7PM to celebrate Peace in our world with a performance by Dave Rovics. In the words of the great peace activist Pete Seeger: "Listen to David Rovics."

David Rovics is a songwriter, musician, writer and podcaster based in the other Portland, Portland, Oregon.

Doors open at 6PM, show at 7PM. We hope you will join us with your friends and family. Dave also plays music for kids, so please bring the little ones! ,

David Rovics is a songwriter, musician, writer and podcaster based in the other Portland, Portland, Oregon. Since the 1990’s, David has been touring regularly throughout North America, Europe, and occasionally elsewhere, playing on stages large and small, at protests and festivals as well as in squatted social centers and folk clubs. He has recorded dozens of albums and has millions of his songs streamed every year. His writing and podcasting can be found on Substack and other platforms. David also plays music for kids, so please bring the kids!

The Outsiders is a searing story of real kids in real situations with real consequences seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy. Territorial battles between the have-it-made rich kids — the Socs — and Ponyboy’s tough, underprivileged “greaser” family and friends are just a part of life. But even in the midst of urban warfare, somehow Ponyboy can’t forget a short poem that speaks to their fragile young lives.
