After graduating from The University of Massachusetts, Company Tonight founder Rick Myers spent 20 years working as a deejay around the globe. Inspired by his father Rick enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in New York. ecided to start Company Tonight Catering in honor of his mother who was always telling young Ricky, "Go clean your room, we're having Company Tonight." Rick's culinary career began in the 8th grade when his mother told him he had to get a job after racking up a sizable bill at the family's country club in New Jersey. He found a summer job as a dishwasher/line cook at a busy breakfast joint on the Jersey Shore and eventually started a small catering business in his home town, Mtn Lakes, NJ. Our Story

After graduating from The University of Massachusetts, Company Tonight founder Rick Myers spent 20 years working as a deejay around the globe. Inspired by his father Rick enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in New York. After completing his externship in Jakarta, Indonesia and graduating, Rick moved to Portland, Oregon in 2006. After a year of chef'ing and catering for others he decided to start Company Tonight Catering in honor of his mother who was always telling young Ricky, "Go clean your room, we're having Company Tonight." Rick's culinary career began in the 8th grade when his mother told him he had to get a job after racking up a sizable bill at the family's country club in New Jersey. He found a summer job as a dishwasher/line cook at a busy breakfast joint on the Jersey Shore and eventually started a small catering business in his home town, Mtn Lakes, NJ. After 14 years catering weddings, fundraisers, and private parties, the 2020 COVID pandemic gave rise to Company Tonight’s foray into Prepared Meals. With the the 2020 wedding calendar postponed until summer 2021, Rick hopes to grow prepared meals and event catering into a full-time endeavor.
