Rev. Amy joined these two yesterday in a short and sweet, masked wedding. The couple (whose names we are withholding by their request) have been together for many years. They decided they weren't getting younger. It was time to make it legal, pandemic or not! We wish them many more happy years! 💚

This lovely office is opening up for a share of professional space. (See photos below.) This space is where many small weddings are conducted, filling the room with good vibes. It's a really beautiful, peaceful space, overlooking a wooded area and little creek, in a small two-story professional building. Open concept with treatment table also tucks into back area for even more options for small gatherings, along with 15 folding chairs. We are looking for a good fit to join our space. Some of us have been in the building over 20 years, laid back professionals in healing services. Great location to service all SW Portland and surrounding towns. Off Hall Blvd. between 99W and Washington Sq., overlooking Metzger Park. Minimum rent contribution $200, though over 20 hours a week available and flexible depending on time claimed. On a Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Tammy Russell officiated this sweet little elopement-style wedding for these two lovebirds, Steve & Sharon. The pair had known each other in high school, more than 5 decades ago. How cool is it that they found each other again and tied the knot this time! We wish them all the happiness their hearts can hold! 💐

We've had a few shy couples lately, and that's okay. If you don't want us to share your names and photos on social media, we understand. So, we're sharing some word pictures instead. A few weeks ago Rev. Tammy Russell officiated for one couple who had been together for, as the bride put it, "a million years," and just wanted to make it legal. They came dressed very casually in jeans and did not even bother with rings or any of the other trappings. Likely they expected it to be a semi-non-event, merely a formality so they could obtain legal status for practical reasons. I wonder if they did not expect it to touch their hearts, bringing happy tears. Though the blue heron that sometimes lands in the little creek outside out windows wasn't there for this particular occasion, we share a picture of it, for effect. We extend our best wishes to this officially newlywed couple for many more "forever" years together. 💝

We're sharing highlights from Rev. Kim Martin's wedding at our chapel last Saturday, joining Felicia & Hugo. We loved her gown and his tux, very classy! Her sweet little dog served as flower girl and the couples' respective parents, while not pictured, were in attendance. Nerves transformed into excitement, and then joy (and probably, relief). Even micro weddings can be a powerful experience! We wish them all the happiness their hearts can hold! 💞💘💖

Our latest wedding couple from this week is Whitney & Noah. Their celebration included their two adorable daughters, Ava and Liza. The photo is classic, with Noah gazing at Whitney, Whitney gazing at their two daughters, and one of them looking into the camera--with the smiling officiant, Rev. Tammy Russell, in the midst of it all. Family weddings are the best! 💜

Paige & August were married yesterday afternoon at our chapel by August's grandpa--and yes, you may bring your own officiant, if you prefer. Paige's 2 adorable kids were front and center, though the little girl was pretty much all over the place, stealing the show. We caught this shot where she was posing for the kiss. That's what's supposed to happen at the end of a wedding, right? 😁

We performed a Leap Day wedding yesterday for Safia and Zachary, meaning that their actual anniversary will only come up every 4 years. ☺️ This was a very sweet couple. They had lengthy personal statements they each shared, somewhat tearfully. An intimate number of family members came to share in the joy. Congratulations, you two. Serendipity ruled the day yesterday. We were at the chapel preparing for another wedding when the phone rang. I answered, thinking it might be the bride for the day, but it was was couple in distress who were stood up by their officiant. They were about 20 minutes away and did we have time to marry them? Though we normally do our weddings by appointment only, we were already there and our other wedding couple was running late. Thus, we were able to perform the couple's basic quickie wedding before our original couple even arrived. We're sharing pics of Myte and Jerry and their handsome young son, Lucas, as well as my husband, Harold McKay, and Rev. Lupe, both of whom were able to serve as witnesses. Serendipity! 🌠🎊🎈💝

We were pleased to arrange for Rev. Guadalupe Espinor to officiate a Spanish-speaking wedding for us yesterday. The couple were wanting to keep their identities private and therefore asked us not share pics except for one of their hands and candles. Thank you, Rev. Lupe, for doing the honors. We're glad to have you back and hope to connect you with more couples soon. 🙂
