We hope you enjoyed this week’s Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmers Market as much as we did! Shadow and Canyon made a stop with their Officers while they patrolled Portsmouth today - if you caught a good picture of them, drop it in the comments!

And if you haven’t met Sgt Funkhouser or Officer Porter, of the Community Enhancement Division, you definitely should have a conversation with them if you ever come across them - these are two of the finest officers that Portsmouth has to offer! They love Hello Sweetie Cheesecakes (the pink bags) just as much as we do, just ask them what their favorite flavor is 😆

Thank you for your service to the community and fodder for my camera for over 70 years.

Just sitting here, thinking about this Christmas season at Norfolk County Feed and Seed Store, with everyone that has enjoyed “A Walk Through Christmas”. Kids of ALL ages (literally... You know who you are) have enjoyed the lights, trains, trees, people and all the memories that have gone with them as they walked through the different areas. Many comments have been made about the amount of work that has gone into these displays, but this truly is a labor of love... Just seeing the faces of people as they are pleasantly surprised by the scope of what the Feed Store Crew has managed to produce makes it all worth while. By the way, the Feed Store Crew extends beyond Employees, as it encompasses very dear friends that give of their time and talent to make all this possible..
As we prepare to be here today until 7:00 pm, and then tomorrow until 4:00, it seems to have come and gone too quickly. We will be re-opening the displays up on Tuesday morning for our regular hours until Friday for anyone who would like one more look before we close it for the season...
Thank you for blessing us with your presence and kind words. May we remember the true meaning of Christmas, and may you have a most blessed and Joyous Christmas....
Sincerely,
Tommy and the Whole Feed Store Crew..

BTW,
The Big Guy is here from 3:00 until 7:00 today (Friday), and 10:00 until 2:00 tomorrow (Saturday)

This Saturday, Nov. 18th, is the Mistletoe Market in Downtown Smithfield. Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and 90 plus vendors will fill the street with their lit tents and holiday faire and gifts for your shopping pleasure. There will also be food sellers and live music. All of the stores and restaurants will be open as well.
Here at The Christmas Store of Smithfield, VA we're delighted to bring in former Miller and Rhoads Snow Queen and author, Donna Strother-Deekens, for a book signing and opportunity for a chat of the magical times you remember with "the real Santa". She will be here 3:00 until 8:00.

ATTENTION: To all that know Reverend Tom Potter from Pinecrest Church, Sweethaven Church, Salvation Army Pastor, Langley Speedway, Driver Days, motorcycle events or any other place or where he has just dropped in to say hi. He was Portsmouth Police Chaplain for 30 years, has done weddings, funerals, spent many hours at the hospitals with families praying for their loved ones, and has talked to so many people contemplating su***de and helped them. He is in need of our help and support now. He is a man that would give you the shirt off of his back. Reverend Potter has helped the community in so many ways and now it is our time to help him. He has suffered several medical issues along with several strokes. To help him and his family out we are planning a benefit December 16, 2023 12 to 5pm at Big Woodys Chesapeake Square Mall. We need as many to come out and show their support for him and his family. There will be raffles, 50/50, a donation jar and 10.00 raffle tickets(which will be sold in advance) to win 1 of 4 prizes. Any donations that can be raffled are greatly appreciated, just message me here. More information to come as we get everything together. Also he just had his 84th Birthday October 24 2023.
