COMEDY LEGEND BOB SEIBEL
AT THE PORTSMOUTH PEARL

Long time comedy legend Bob Seibel, who has been making audiences laugh for the past 25 years, will be headlining a special night of stand-up, Friday May 16 at the Portsmouth Pearl.
Joining Seibel will be Kyle Crawford a star in his own right who for the past ten years has risen through the ranks and is now the featured act in many of the top rooms around New England and will soon be making another trip to perform in Las Vegas. Seibel and Crawford will be the main performers in this three person event.
Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased through the Pearl website at www.portsmouthpearl.com or $20 cash the night of the show. There is free parking across the street from the Pearl which is located two blocks from down town off Islington St.
Seibel., who is one of New England’s favorite comedians, is a regular in Las Vegas and Atlantic City as well as working cruise ships.
“I love that room,” said the gravel voiced Seibel who last appeared at The Pearl some two years ago and received a rousing ovation. “The people there were great. I’m ecstatic to be coming back.”
On stage, Seibel hits his audience with a tireless string of stories about his German heritage, his world travels, and every day observations he turns into 45 minutes of hilarity.
“When you’ve been raised poor and in a German family,” says Seibel, “and we all know the German people are renowned for being warm and cuddly, it just gives you a different take on things.”
As for Crawford, he has appeared some of the top clubs in the country and with some of the nations most well known performers. He has been seen on Comcast Comedy Spotlight and was the first runner up at the MCAM television Last Comic Standing competition.
Crawford has performed in Las Vegas, Catch a Rising Star, Comix at Foxwoods, the Comedy Connection and more. He has shared the stage with some of the top names in the business including Gary Gulman, Jim Norton, Lenny Clarke, and more.

The New York-Boston rivalry takes a “funny” twist Friday, April 18 at 8 pm when comedy legend Tony V headlines the “New York Boston Comedy Clash” at the Portsmouth Pearl. Co-headliner, Corey Rodrigues will be making his way up from the Big Apple in this blockbuster comedy night at the 45 Pearl St. venue.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance through the Pearl website at www.portsmouthpearl.com or $15 cash the night of the show if not sold out.
Tony V is more than a New England legend as he is a nationally known comedian who has appeared in numerous films and television shows. He is one of North America’s best comedians who is a regular in Las Vegas and has performed on Comedy Central, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, MTV, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and more.
His television credits include Showtime's The Brotherhood as well as the CBS series Waterfront, along with Rescue Me, Seinfeld, Boston Common, two seasons of Bobcat's Big Show on F/X, and more. His one-man show "The Failure Artist," drew critical acclaim.
He has appeared in the films State and Main, Celtic Pride, Housesitter, One Crazy Summer and Shakes the Clown.
“Tony V is among a very select group of comedians,” said Michael Smith of Laugh Riot Productions which books comedy fundraisers as well as shows at a number of rooms in New England including the Pearl. “Comedy fans and comedians themselves have Tony in a very small and impressive group at the top of the ladder.
“He’s the type of comedian you can see over and over and if you’ve never seen Tony, you’ll walk out of the show wondering why it took you so long.”
Rodrigues is appearing at the Pearl prior to heading for a week long engagement at Catch a Rising Star, at the Silver Legacy Resort in Reno, Nev. He is a regular at the major clubs in and around New York City including Dangerfields and the Gotham Comedy Club as well as appearing at Comix at Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, Wise Crackers in Allenstown, Uncle Vinnies in NJ and more. Rodrigues is a high powered who has also been seen on Comedy Central.

The monthly Portsmouth Pearl "Stand Up Comedy Series" will continue Friday Nov. 22 at 8 pm starring Mark Scalia and Maine funny man Tom Clark as the primary performers.

Scalia is a regional and national headliner who has been seen on the Comedy Channel as well as having performed throughout the United States and Canada including having been an invited performer to The Boston International Comedy Festival, Seattle International Comedy Festival and the New Orleans Comedy Festival. Scalia is a regular at the top Boston comedy clubs such as Nick’s and the
Comedy Connection as well as The Comic Strip in New York, the Laff Spot in Houston, and the Comedy Nest in Montreal and more. He has radio, television, film and theater credits to add to the list.

The Funky Divas of Gospel have been a fixture on the seacoast for over 20 years. The group is a collaboration of three vocalists and a four piece band. Our purpose is to share great music. The music is roots music. It is harmony. It is hard rockin’ and reflective. It is toe tapping, it is hand clapping, It can, and does, move audiences to their feet and into the aisles to dance.

Jimmy Walsh is a Boston based comic that has worked up and down the east coast at major clubs from Caribou, Maine to Miami, Fla. He has worked with such well known figures as Lewis Black, Victoria Jackson of Saturday Night Live, Pam Stone, Stephen Wright, Jonathan Katz and Lenny Clarke. He has also hosted the Boston leg of "Next Big Comedy Star Search."
Walsh sees the everyman in all of us and through his observations he allows us to laugh at ourselves. He's the guy next door that let's us see the funny in it all. Walsh is a versatile comedian and can entertain the entire spectrum of society.

Jody Sloane
Jody Slaone has established hersdelf as a star on the Boston comedy scene and beyond. She is a three-time invitee to the Boston Comedy Festival, as well as Comix at Foxwoods, the Hard Rock Cafe, Gotham Comedy Club in New York, and was the winner of the WOR Comedy Contest and a finaliost at the Catach a Rising Star Competition.

Carroll is a Boston favorite who has been a regular in Las Vegas, cruise ships, the Montreal Comedy Festival and on Comedy Centrals Pulp Comics. Carroll has toured the Middle East war zones entertaining U.S. troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other countries where US servicemen and women are serving.
Mike McCarthy, known as "The Comedy Barbarian," performs at major clubs across the country.

The monthly Portsmouth Pearl "Stand Up Comedy Series" will continue Sat. June 1 at 8 pm when Las Vegas comedian Artie Januario will be appearing along with Chris Pennie (Comedy Central, CMTV), and Michele Mortensen.
Januario is one of Boston’s top comedians and is a regular in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and New York, as well as having been seen on Comedy Central, Comcast Comedy, and he recently hosted the prestigious Comics Come Home event in Boston.
Januario has worked alongside some of the top names in the business including Dom Irrera, Brian Regan, Richard Lewis, and many more.
Pennie was a finalist in the 2012 CMTs Next Big Comic nationwide contest which drew the Boston area comedian his first national exposure. He has been an invited performer at the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta and the prestigious Boston Comedy festival. And was a finalist in the Mohegan Sun Funniest Comic in New England.
Opening the evening will be Mortensen, a regional favorite who draws on the everyday irritations of life, marriage and raising a family.

The Portsmouth Pearl, which for nearly a year, has been bringing the best comedians in the region to the stage, will feature Ira Proctor, Saturday, May 11 in an 8 pm show. Proctor, who is a regular in Las Vegas, on cruise ships, and is a headlining act at the top rooms across the copuntrry will be joined by Steve Scarfo (Las vegas, Comedy central) and Anthonmy Scibelli.

Proctor is a Boston based comedian that has performed from Las Vegas to Afghanistan and virtually everywhere in between. He recently showcased to rave revues at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival, was featured on the Today Show, and finished his second season of NESN's Comedy All-Stars.

Steve Scarfo is a 15 year veteran of the comedy scene and is a regular at the Comedy Connection, Nicks, and major clubs across the country. Scarfo has appeared in Las Vegas and headlines from Maine to Los Angeles as well as having shared the stage with many of the top comedians in the business including Jeff Dunham, Bob Marley, Lenny Clarke, Victoria Jackson, and many more.
