Kathy started in the horticulture field in 1984 while in high school. She grew geraniums for beautification of the school grounds and created corsages and boutonnieres for the sports teams and coaching staff all year. Kathy has her Associates of Arts Degree in Floral Design and Greenhouse Management. Her early experience included working in plant nurseries, managing floral shops, and designing arr
angements. In 1996, Kathy became the Hotel Horticulturist for Cavanaugh’s Hotels (now known as The Centennial) and was responsible for overseeing the interior plantscapes, landscaping, wedding and event floral design, and holiday decorations for 12 properties. In 2001, Kathy left to start her own business, Kathy’s Designs, which has allowed her to continue her love of horticulture, floral design, interior plantscapes, and holiday decorating. Kathy’s Designs continues to bring the personal touch and care of a small business, backed by the experience of a seasoned professional to her clients throughout Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area.
