This was my favorite color palette from the Sinclair and Moore workshop. These colors were the inspiration for my own wedding (9 Years ago!) and included some of my favorite varieties of bridging blooms (those perfect flowers in just the right color that marries the entire color palette together).
This tablescape united lavender to gold utilizing warm peaches and pinks, ivory, and a surprising but fitting pop of blue in the linen. Dusty blue is often a neutral, and this particular shade was the perfect complement to the muted gold and bronze in the florals.
I love how each element was carefully considered, adding thoughtful details to the tablescape.

September was a whirlwind of weddings, and each one was special and beautiful in its own way. This more modern, yet classic and elegant design was a favorite, sitting pretty overlooking the driving range. With romance as the goal, the flower list of garden roses, opened roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus most definitely communicated it.

A refined approach to wedding design means to be continuously considering the story and experience you want your guests to feel. By taking elements of your own personality and infusing it into every detail, your guests will not only feel cherished as a member of your inner circle, but also be captivated as they get to know you. Your style. Your favorite colors. The details of your story. A wedding is an opportunity to create your own style- one that will live in your memories and be shared with the next generation in your photos and stories. Your wedding deserves special attention and to be completely YOU.
I’m so inspired to create beauty. Let’s design weddings that people want to pin.
❤️❤️❤️

I spent an incredible week in Dallas with at the Sinclair and Moore workshop. Surrounded by beauty, inspirational designers and humans, I came back refreshed, inspired, and so full of love for people, flowers, and business. I can’t wait to pour the love I received into my own cherished clients ❤️

Back to the rhythm of life here in Idaho. I came back to tree leaves falling and a gentle crisp in the air. The change of seasons feels like a reflection of the change I feel happening within myself. The best is yet to come ❤️

We are watching our Italian plum trees very closely these days and eating alllll the blackberries. When my daughter Emily gets married, fruit (even the unripe ones) will probably have to be featured 😂
I want to know- would you feature fruit at your wedding? How would you prefer to see it? Dried? Sliced? Only in the food?

Back of aisle arrangements. I call these “meadow arrangements” because I I want the design to mimic something growing from the ground. Like it is meant to be there, intentionally framing the bride as she enters the aisle, and adding to the ceremony aesthetic.
While these repurpose beautifully to in front of the band stage, framing conversation corners, and drawing attention to the sweetheart table or head table, there are some things to consider before doing that:
Tips for repurposing these arrangements:
1. consider their height and don’t use them as centerpieces
2. They were designed to intentionally accent your ceremony, and as such may not fit the second space perfectly.
3. If your ceremony is outdoors, expect to see some stress on the flowers- after being in sometimes full sun for a couple hours, the flowers can begin to wilt or look tired. They will likely perk up once they are in a cooler spot.
4. Your guests will see these flowers be moved. Most won’t mind, but it can potentially leave a feeling of “unfinished” to the overall design.

My recommendation? Repurpose your flowers if your reception and ceremony are in the same building. And You’ll have more success if they are both indoor.

I love mono botanical arrangements- especially when clustered on a single table. These arrangements were more impactful, despite being white flowers on white linens, designed in this fashion. It highlighted the individual beauty of the different flowers, and having an abundance of each bloom is always a good thing in my book!

I’ve been thinking a lot about designing weddings that aren’t just trendy, but truly capture the couples style and tell their story. To truly dive into this idea, we would also move away from such visual platforms and start the design process very differently. This makes many couples uncomfortable at first, but we always end up with the most unique designs this way. What is something unique to you that you’ve used to tell your story- at your wedding, in your home, in a hobby? What inspires you? Comment below- I’d love to have a conversation around this!

If you want a good interior design book that helps you answer the difficult questions to learn your own style, check out ‘s book “Love the House You’re In”. While unconventional, my favorite part of this book is the lack of pictures. She walks you through this process seamlessly, and I feel that I became more creative and in tune to my style after reading. I’ve read it 3 times, and will read it again because the questions make me evaluate ALL the areas of my life and have inspired me in many ways!

Sophie and Tim
______________

A gorgeous, wildflower wedding featuring almost 100% local blooms and a bright and colorful scheme.
Sophie was amazing to work with and planned this beautiful wedding herself! Not an easy thing to do. I loved her vision from day one and was so honored to be asked to design for them!
Fun fact- we have mutual friends in Spokane, Wa. Clearly they have good taste 😉🥰

See more from their intimate wedding in my stories and on the blog!

Raise your hand if you want greenery in your ceiling 🙌

This is smilax, and for a “simple” installation (read: it takes time, ladders, and lots of vines!), smilax works the best. Unfortunately, it is off-crop and unavailable April-June usually- but we have other options if you are getting married in those months.
Smilax is remarkably noticeable in your tent and really wows your guests 🤩
We also use a lot of trees or vines in center poles, surrounding an entrance- dressing your tented reception for the party.
Would you have greenery in your tent? Why or why not?

An archway for St Thomas Church at Annie and Tom’s wedding.

I had the stands for this custom welded and the arch created to be able to set up and tear down easily.
We couldn’t attach any mechanics to the brick as they were very worried about damage to this gorgeous church. So we got creative!
Always a pleasure working with you .co !

The brides prompt: “all red, and a short cascade.” I love this amount of freedom in a design! It led to this gorgeous classic, yet unique, beauty. This cascade featured local flowers including dahlias, zinnias, and crab apples for texture, and is a true testament to trusting your florist and working within your season. A favorite for sure- I just love how it gently spills over her hands!

While we are immersed in peonies and ranunculus and in the season of executing our spring events, we are still working behind the scenes on our fall events.
Each season offers beautiful blooms. By embracing your season, not only will you have exquisite designs made from the freshest flowers, you’ll also be reminded each year around your anniversary of all the gorgeous flowers you had at your wedding! Planting a few of your favorite blooms on your anniversary is a great reminder of your love and commitment 🥰

I’m on a mission this year to plant more and more bulbs in my cut flower garden. The garden is tiny but mighty (or hopefully will be next year). My top desires after this spring include more fittilaria and daffodils, and also hellebore. What are you planting for next year? Is it to soon to be planning next spring??

Spring. I’m not ready to say goodbye, so it’s a good thing our flower farmers are in zones 3-5. This is one of the benefits of hiring us- you get all the fresh goodness from flower farms that are so north they extends the spring for you. Peonies all June!

Sun drenched and in love. These two were so sweet. I *distinctly* remember seeing them as guests at another wedding we designed for, and thinking they were absolutely adorable. Less than one year later I was privileged to design their wedding flowers. Congratulations you two. You were glowing on your wedding day, and I know you’ll have the most loving marriage ❤️
