is the only tahini we use in our kitchen and now you can find it in our store! Soom Foods is a women owned Philadelphia based company that responsibly source white humera sesame seeds from Ethiopia. The consistency, flavor and creaminess of their tahini is unmatched!

Their organic tahini is perfect for making hummus, sauces, dressings and pastries. When my son was diagnosed with a peanut allergy, their chocolate tahini spread on a sandwich was a great source of protein in his lunches. Stop by and grab a jar to try at home.

I met Bob Florence at .con a few years ago when he was one of the speakers and now I’m thrilled to have some of his products in our store!

Moromi produces handcrafted soy sauces, miso and hot sauces using traditional fermentation techniques and while locally sourcing their ingredients in southeastern Connecticut. I was blown away the first time I tasted their shoyu and I can’t wait for you to try it!

We are excited to support Burlap & Barrel’s mission, which includes building new international spice supply chains that are equitable, transparent and traceable. Check out their website to see how they’re working towards ending inequality and exploitation in food systems that disenfranchise skilled farmers.
We’re starting out with the six spices you see in this post, but hoping to expand our pantry in the next few months. Let us know if there’s anything on their website that you’d like us to carry in our store!
