If your crazy about lights like we are, take a look at this map and find the best show around the PNW.
As we enter our 13th year of this project, we wanted to share this information we everyone that is new to us.
Who are we?
We are crazy Christmas and Holiday people that love bringing light to the community.
What do we do?
We Map, highlight, photograph and network with holiday display owners across the Pacific NW and more.
We curate our own content and map each year (though sometimes other sources "borrow" our content without permission, or credit given)
What make us different?
We are not a commercial national effort to map EVERYTHING, we are a regional focused page/group run by married couple. We build things and confirm things manually every year, this is 100s of hours of UNPAID work
We've been offered to bring our work into a national effort, but doing so, we lose a lot of our uniqueness, and a bit of makes us different.
Why do you do this?
We love seeing the joy that seeing a display in person (or via photographs) brings to adults and children alike, and that joy feeds our souls, and makes the effort we put in worth every bit of time we put into it.
Our main goal is to have a regional resource for people traveling during the holidays to find light displays near them.
We get our listings 90% from the owners directly, the others come from public sources, such as news outlets, etc.
Our goal is not take the place of other small local maps, but more so to have them partner up with us, let us do the hard work of the map work, letting them focus on other functions of their page or content creation.
2023 we had over 1000 individual listings, equaling out to around 1500+ decorated homes/displays.
We do list a selection of commercial displays that we are aware of, but receive no financial compensation for listing them.
We've also build a network of display owners nearly 500 members so far.
When we started this we ended our first year with 30 followers, now that number is over 31,000, we would love to see that number grow higher so more people can find the displays near them, and more display owners can help to bring their light to our community.
