Farm kitchen is looking to add people to our summer team. Farm Kitchen is a stunning 8 acre event venue and sustainable flower & vegetable farm in Poulsbo, WA. We run a commercial kitchen as well as an AirBnB on the property. We offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for learning and skill development. Farm Kitchen Summer Team Members will be an integral part of our busy summer season.

Part time, seasonal, 20 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday, 8 am - noon, Saturday hours will vary. Now through September 27, 2024. This job will require physical work including heavy lifting, bending, kneeling and working on the ground.

Dahlias are in full bloom and we’ve been trying to pick our favorites. Seems it’s impossible so our Weekly Blooms Dahlia Bunches will be bursting with color and tons of stems. Summer Brights, Soft Blushes, Pumpkiny Spices, and more.

Celebrations at Flowers & Fika this week. A wonderful group of women came together to celebrate a birthday and a special bond. This book club experienced true Fika with us as they shared coffee, tea, pastries, flowers and deep friendships.

There were even some surprises from the garden for all of our attendees!

We are delighted each week to see all of you enjoying each other’s company, the Farm Kitchen property, the flowers and the joy of being together at Flowers & Fika. Join us next Tuesday. We had the most amazing time yesterday being a host farm for the first Kitsap Farm Tour! We had close to 300 folks visit Farm Kitchen and the other 8 farms on the farm tour. Thank you all for showing up and connecting with your local small farms.

At Farm Kitchen our visitors participated in a scavenger hunt, harvesting flowers and veg and even finding a gnome a home in our cedar grove. Visitors were also excited to build their own flower bouquets with .blooms and enjoyed fresh food creations from Wokcraft.

Love small farms? Looking for a fun family activity? Don’t miss the 1st Annual Kitsap Farm Tour on August 13th from 10am-4 pm.

This event is a direct collaboration of farmers working together as part of the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition, with support from WSU Kitsap County Extension and Visit Kitsap Peninsula partners.

The farm tour will allow the public to visit 7 of our local Kitsap County farms during a one day, self-guided tour event.

Farm Kitchen is a host farm this year and we can’t wait to see you! We will have Wokcraft serving up delicious food and .blooms will have beautiful cut flowers. Don’t miss our Farm Kitchen scavenger hunt!

For those who want to support this farm tour and your local farms, we need volunteers! Volunteers will welcome folks at each farm and provide information about the farm tour and the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition. We will give you all of the information you need to volunteer. Sweet Pea U-Pick tomorrow, July 6. Come on out to Farm Kitchen Thursday 9-11 am or 5-7 pm. Sweet Peas are poppin in pale shades of apricot and lavender, bright pinks and deep burgundy. And their fragrance, swoon.

We had such a lovely time at our first Flowers & Fika. We welcomed new friends as well as familiar faces. It was so special to see folks slow down, enjoy the property, socialize and wander while harvesting their sweet pea bouquets.
