Poway Valley Riders Association was established in 1960 to foster horse and family related activities. It has evolved into a quality facility, on 14 acres in the heart of Poway, featuring a wide range of equestrian events. The Club offers a variety of Western and English riding opportunities which include Pony Club, Drill team, Polo, Gymkhana, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Dressage, and Fun Shows.

Hi All,

Have you heard?! We have wonderful news! Poway Valley Riders Association has secured a grant from the county for $50K in funds to rehab and reopen the old Cantina/Chuckwagon on the grounds of the facility. The county has also generously offered up to an additional $25K in funding if we are able to raise matching funds from the local community. The catch is they’ve given us one week to raise the funds. We have a deadline of Februrary 10, 2025!

The Poway Valley Riding Association is a completely volunteer run, non-profit organization that is responsible for maintaining and improving the grounds where our local equestrian events are run, as well as our annual rodeo. We’re hoping we can raise enough to take advantage of the matching funds that are available! Every dollar counts!

This past weekend PVRA hosted a Games day for polo and pony club kids to get together. There were 17 riders (13 from polo and 4 from Pony Club). They did the baton race, sword race, potato race, ball on a spoon, pole bending and more. There were 4 teams, and all riders did every game. Overall winners were the "Sunflowers". Fun was had by all!
