Ah yes......who can forget him? A seasoned leader, Ackbar defended his homeworld of Mon Cala during the Clone Wars and later led the Rebel fleet in the Battle of Endor, where he cleverly adapted when they walked into a trap. His quick thinking gave the rebels the time needed to destroy the second Death Star. After Endor, Ackbar rose to the rank of Grand Admiral in the New Republic, securing major victories like the Battle of Jakku. Though he retired to Mon Cala, Leia Organa brought him back to serve with the Resistance when they needed him most.

WHO IS CAD BANE?!
"Cad Bane at your service. I’ll take on any job… for the right price."

A feared and legendary figure in the galaxy, Cad Bane was a Duros bounty hunter whose ruthless career spanned across eras—from the fall of the Galactic Republic, through the reign of the Empire, and into the New Republic era. After Jango Fett's demise, Bane quickly became one of the most skilled and notorious hunters in the galaxy, known for his cunning and experience.

During the Clone Wars, his reputation skyrocketed, and he earned the trust of both Sith Lords and galactic criminals alike. His skills in combat were unmatched, particularly when it came to facing Jedi. He dueled with some of the most skilled Jedi, including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and even took on missions for Darth Sidious. One of his most daring feats included infiltrating the Jedi Temple to steal a kyber crystal that contained the names of Force-sensitive children.

Bane’s deadly work continued as he crossed paths with both friends and enemies in the criminal underworld. From working with the infamous Jabba the Hutt to tracking down fugitive targets, he remained a constant force to be reckoned with. His involvement in high-profile schemes, including working with Count Dooku and surviving deadly trials in the Box, proved that there was no mission too dangerous.

Even after the fall of the Empire, Bane remained a sought-after mercenary, continuing to serve the highest bidder. His most recent job saw him clashing with his former apprentice, Boba Fett, in a final showdown on the streets of Mos Espa. Though his life came to a brutal end, ( or did it?....) Bane's legacy lives on as one of the most feared bounty hunters to ever walk the galaxy.

I watched skeleton crew last night, just to get an idea of what it was all about. I thought the production value was really good and the storyline looks exciting. There was plenty of action and good character establishing in the first two episodes. This is probably going to be a great show for the little ones. I personally speaking I feel like I can live without watching this. If you have small children, they will probably be excited to watch it though.

THE EVOLUTION OF STAR WARS GAMES
The journey of Star Wars games can be divided into three main eras:

1️⃣ Early Licensed Games (1979–1993): The first Star Wars video games were created by various companies after George Lucas granted the rights. Many of these early titles, released on 8-bit and 16-bit systems, were simple action games, often based directly on the original trilogy or specific scenes.

2️⃣ LucasArts Era (1993–2013): George Lucas decided to take control of the franchise's gaming destiny by founding LucasArts. This era saw major improvements in graphics, storytelling, and game design. Games were now able to tell more complex narratives, featuring voice acting, CGI cutscenes, and even original stories within the Star Wars universe.

3️⃣ EA Era (2014–Present): After Disney acquired Lucasfilm, LucasArts was closed, and the rights to Star Wars games were given to Electronic Arts. Games from this era are considered official canon, with a closer collaboration between the game developers and the Lucasfilm Story Group to ensure the stories align with the larger Star Wars universe.

As of 2024, Star Wars video games have sold over 100 million copies worldwide, and with new partnerships and collaborations, more exciting titles are on the horizon!

The Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic starships in cinematic history. Created for Star Wars by legendary designer Joe Johnston, the ship has appeared in nearly every major Star Wars film, including The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, and Solo: A Star Wars Story, along with spin-off works like books, comics, and games. The Falcon is a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter, famous for its speed and unusual appearance. Despite its worn and shabby look, it’s one of the fastest and most reliable ships in the galaxy.

The Millennium Falcon’s legacy is intertwined with its pilots—Han Solo and his co-pilot Chewbacca. The Falcon was originally owned by the smooth-talking gambler Lando Calrissian, who lost it to Solo in a high-stakes game of sabacc. In Solo: A Star Wars Story, we learn the ship was initially co-piloted by Lando’s droid, L3-37, adding to the ship’s storied history. But no matter who’s at the helm, the Millennium Falcon has been crucial in key victories for the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, proving that sometimes the underdog—like the Falcon itself—can change the course of history.

The Falcon’s design has a fascinating backstory. The original concept had a more elongated shape, but its resemblance to the Eagle Transporters from Space: 1999 led George Lucas to request a redesign. Joe Johnston was given only four weeks to create a new look. The final design came to life with an offset cockpit, forward cargo mandibles, and a rear engine slot. Interestingly, Johnston was inspired by a hamburger with an olive on the side for the design’s overall shape. The result was a ship that was both functional and unique—a perfect reflection of the Falcon’s role in the Star Wars universe.

The sound of the Millennium Falcon traveling through hyperspace is just as iconic. It was created by sound designer Ben Burtt, who combined two tracks of engine noise from a McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airplane. To make the sound even more distinct, one of the tracks was slightly out of sync with the other, creating a phasing effect. The hum of the cooling fans on the motion-control rig at Industrial Light & Magic added to the realism of the sound design.

Additionally, the Falcon’s cockpit, with its signature greenhouse-style window, was inspired by the cockpit of the American B-29 Superfortress bomber. This unique cockpit design, along with the ship’s unconventional appearance, gave the Millennium Falcon its unmistakable silhouette.

From its early days in the Star Wars saga to its many adventures in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon remains a symbol of adventure, rebellion, and the courage to fight against all odds.
