I’d rather be playing with dahlias
Dahlias are the fireworks of flowers. They’re the absolute showstoppers of the flower world, but they don’t last long.
For me, they’re also a year-long crop, meaning that once they’re finished blooming, I dig them up, divide the tubers, and store them for winter. These *highly organized* tubs of tubers have spent the last couple months resting in my flower cooler. Now they’re warming inside the house to wake up!
Once I select which ones I need to plant for the upcoming season, the rest will be sold at The Willow Collaborative Spring Market in May!
That’s right: I do the hard work, and you get to enjoy your own dahlia patch AND support an amazing organization that supports women in Powhatan.
Spring will be here before we know it!
There’s nothing more American than something homegrown. And flowers last way longer than fireworks! Don’t these beauties just SCREAM SUMMER?!
Backyard Farm blooms are the icing to your 4th of July weekend cake. Make sure to order yours for pickup Friday or Saturday. You don’t want to miss this armful of happiness.
Local flowers, AMERICAN GROWN flowers, last so much longer than store bought flowers—and there’s a reason for that! As a flower farmer, I thoughtfully harvest your blooms at the right time to maximize vase life for you. They’re always the freshest and chemical-free, making them just as good for the Earth as they are for your family.
