North Yarmouth Academy summer camps came to visit the farm last week. They enjoyed exploring the trails in the woods, looking at the fresh vegetables in the high tunnel, and eating lunch in the barn. As .alumni we are excited to share the property with this community.

It’s been a great week to get out in the fields! A little video of me on the tractor incorporating powdered lime into the ground. Our soils fall on the acidic side of the pH scale, so we’re adding a bunch of lime this year to get our soil pH closer to the optimum number of 6.5. Having the right pH for your crop allows the plants to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients from the soil, so this step is super important!
