🐄50 Years of Cow Chip Throwing!🐄

Originally, the Sauk Prairie Jaycees and Jaycettes organizations had been raising money to pay for the Jaycee Park in Sauk City. Once it was paid off, the celebrated with some crazy activities including throwing cow chips. Ginny Wyttenbach had read in a farm magazine that there was a cow chip throwing event in Beaver, Oklahoma! That was one crazy activity that stuck, and here we are 50 years later! The Jaycees and Jaycettes originally ran this event until they aged out of the organization (age 35). After that, the Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw Comittee was formed. While we do not know all the original organizers, many of them are listed below in those first few years of the Committee. Thank you to everyone who helped keep this tradition going strong for 50 years!
