Sauk Prairie School District boasts robust opportunities for all students. Additionally, many of our students can work out flexible schedules with coaches and advisors to take advantage of those overlapping opportunities. That is where we find ourselves with members of our Newsies cast.

Our women's soccer team is continuing their successful season on Thursday in the Sectional Semi-Final at Monona Grove High School. Originally scheduled for 7pm, Monona Grove and the WIAA, recognizing our conflict, have agreed to move that soccer match to 5pm to accommodate our actors. It is a wonderful display of sportsmanship as they had no reason to adjust other than our request.

Because of that good-faith move, we have decided to push our Thursday curtain to 7:30pm for opening night to allow those participants to arrive for their opening night.

Sauk Prairie is a wonderful place. We are thankful to each of you. We apologize for the late change and thank everyone for their flexibility.

Congratulations to the Sauk Prairie High School class of 2025!

The River Arts Center provides the sound system for Sauk Prairie High School's Commencement Ceremony. This 23,000 watt portable sound system includes a lot of equipment previously owned by venues like Overture Center and the Monona Terrace.

A big thank you to SPSD staff and students who helped us scramble to cover and pack equipment when it looked like rain was coming.

A special thank you to Sauk Prairie Indy for their work on the livestream, and Jason's Voices for the fantastic voiceovers.

What makes Leola Hall such a special space? It's the versatility! These images are just some of the events in the last 7 days, showing a few of the many ways this space can be used, such as for student testing, backstage space for dance recitals, reception space for senior scholarship night, and of course, performances!

A huge thank you to our staff, especially our custodian Austin for all the incredible work of setting up events! Leola Hall has been used daily since April 25th, sometimes with multiple different event setups in the same day. We couldn't do that without all that work!

The River Arts Center is honored to host 5 area dance studios for their spring recitals! Yesterday began 31 days of dance rehearsals and performances, with only a one day break for the Dollars for Scholars Awards Ceremony (on My 21st).

We welcome Madison Professional Dance Center for two performances this weekend, 5:30pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday!

Did you know that dance is typically lit from the sides to highlight the dancers' movements? We add 40 lights on our "dance booms" to facilitate this, with half being modern color changing LED lights, and half being conventional 750 watt incandescent lights.
