BIG UPDATES:
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on DWD WEDDINGS… but in my defense, it’s been a 𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 busy around here!
A few 𝒮𝓂𝒶𝓁𝓁 changes to announce:
• We sold our home in TN
• We bought our dream home/land which happens to be in (drum roll please). . . . . .
• Sweet Home Alabama!
• Oh, and thank you to our Heavenly Father, we welcomed another sweet boy into this world!

I’m currently on “maternity leave” but realized I needed to officially announce the relocation since I’ve received so many sweet messages, asking about 2024/2025 weddings… all inquiries for TN.
As of right now, I will be finishing my 2024 weddings and putting a hold on booking any more 2024/2025 weddings UNLESS they are local (Alabama based).

To my 2023 brides, I promise I’ll be posting pics/videos of your perfect day here soon! 🤍

Eeek! EXACTLY 50 days until your wedding you two!
Let me just tell y’all - there is no better feeling than meeting with a client & immediately knowing “okay, THIS is going to be a blast”.
Logan and I chatted for not 1, not 2 … yes, THREE hours at our consultation 😜Sometimes you’ve gotta live in the moment, know that God is working & appreciate it in full.
Don’t you just love how strategic and good God is? Everyone crosses our path for a reason & I whole heartedly believe that!

But seriously guys, this girl is so real, so genuine & so kind. We could have talked for 3 hours more if I didn’t have another meeting to attend.
I am absolutely stoked & honored to be a part of y’all’s special day!

Hi beautiful people!
This morning I’m feeling extra thankful for simply being BUSY!
I took a moment this morning to soak in just how blessed I am:
to be doing what I love, to be learning, growing, meeting new & beautiful people & that God has been Faithful through it all.
As a small business owner, so many of you know that there are so many ups & downs and a lot of risk taking to succeed.
Especially in the beginning! It takes time, courage, hard work, discipline & constant growth.
And let’s be real, there is never truly enough time in the day to do it ALL - and while that could easily make me feel overwhelmed, instead I choose to just be THANKFUL in this moment.
So very thankful for it all. 🤍

Today is our 2 year anniversary & I had to post on my wedding page because this is where my passion for wedding planning all began!
Today has been filled with so many different emotions - but a LOT of gratitude for my amazing husband and how much he’s supported me pursuing my dreams.
God has blessed us abundantly, and I’m so very thankful for every single one of my brides. I’ve met some of the sweetest, most amazing couples & it’s been an honor working with each of you and being a part of your special day.
I truly hope each of you feel as much love & happiness that I felt on this day 2 years ago. I love what I do more than words can ever say. If I could go back in time, I’d go back to this day in a heartbeat. 🤍

What do I LOVE about Wedding Planning and/or Day Of Coordinating?

Okay first of all, that’s a hard question to answer because there’s truly so much I love about it.
But let’s not give the typical answer about love & happiness, let’s be transparent…
🚨 Wedding planning CAN BE stressful and so can THE wedding day & EVERY Wedding is different. They are NOT all the same.🚨
So my favorite part isn’t the planning and the perfect day that comes as a result.
No. My favorite part is UNDERSTANDING each bride & groom, their wedding party and families and customizing & preparing around their exact wants and needs! THEN the results of that is of course a smooth sailing day with memories that last a life time.
But no one couple, story or the people in their life are the same.
Each one needs special coordination & attention to detail.

Let me get a little more specific.
Maybe your fiancé wants to partake in planning but doesn’t know how. Maybe the florist your Mother in Law found isn’t working out.
Or day of, your Maid of Honor needs someone to ease her nerves with a little pep talk before her speech, or maybe Aunt Bonnie stresses you out & simply needs a task to distract her, and Cousin Jake is known for taking too many tequila shots and needs a slice of bread. Maybe your Aunt Andrea actually wants to enjoy the day with you instead of setting up the table decor.
This is exactly where I come in & make sure that every last detail has a plan in place and any obstacle that may arise will be navigated with precison & grace.
THAT is my FAVORITE part of wedding planning and coordinating.

Hi everyone! ✨
I’d say it’s about time I introduce myself and Don’t Worry Darlin Weddings to you wonderful people!
For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Sonya Bodlak and I’m a Wedding Planner & Day of Coordinator based out of East Tennessee.

I was born and raised in Missouri & in 2018 I moved to California where I met my amazing husband! Fast forward to 2020, we married in the middle of the pandemic - while most brides were stressed beyond belief & went straight into panic mode, I had the time of my life planning our wedding & finding solutions to all the curve balls thrown our way! I have never enjoyed or thrived in any career, hobby or passion of mine quite like that!
I guess you could say my love for weddings & planning started with my own!
In 2021, after almost 2 years of planning, we followed God’s calling & moved to Tennessee. A few weeks after moving into our new home, we welcomed our sweet son into this world.
It’s been a beautiful & wild journey, and I always struggle to summarize that story!

It’s 2022 now, and I’m overjoyed to finally pursue my wedding planning business!
On top of opening my own business, I’m excited to announce that I will finally graduate with my Diploma from the Wedding Academy in Wedding Planning, Design, Business & Marketing this year! 👏🏼
DWD Weddings is based on every bit of what I wanted & needed in a wedding planner/day of coordinator on my wedding day and through the planning process.
I really needed someone who was CUSTOM to me, my vision & my budget. Someone who took the time to understand me & my stresses. An advocate for all of my ideas & wants. An encouraging, friendly face who could educate me on all the steps and be a girlfriend who could guide me through the entire process. But more importantly, payed attention to every last detail & helped my vision come to life, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable.
