Update time! Last month I had the honor of DJing a birthday for a friend at the VFW in Glendale. 90's themed, the music inside was hotter than the summer Temps outside! Happy birthday Mayve, and I still owe you that Super Mario remix!

Still to come this month, a country wedding at Gunsite way out in Paulden. Better dust off my hat and boots!

Jimmy Savile claims to have been the first DJ to use twin turntables for continuous play in 1947. He launched the world's first DJ dance party by playing Jazz records in the upstairs room of a UK-based mutual society organization, and eventually became a radio DJ himself.

Did you know that in 1993, the members of 311 survived a vehicle fire after their RV went up in flames. While driving up a steep incline in Omaha, Nebraska, the RV the band was pulling that carried their gear caught fire. The only door out of the RV was surrounded by flames, so the only way out was for the band to jump through the fire. 311 later wrote about the experience in the song "Omaha Stylee."

Updates! Much has happened over the past 6 months. We welcomed to the world our 3rd son in March, made some big career changes in June which led to a change of scenery in July. Now based out of prescott, I can more easily service the valley as well a northern AZ! And it started with a wedding in Williams, followed by a Welcome Back dance at a Peoria middle school. Still to come are a pair of weddings in the coming weeks down in Casa Grande. Equipment has also been upgraded to include longer range wireless mics and a larger capacity audio interface and mixer. Audience members can now request songs from their phones using my unique url: ask.the.dj/blkbx.
