Exciting news for us. We are expanding our business!!!

We have always been up for an adventure in our lives. Did we sure fine one. About a year and half ago, we saw the old Elks building in Princeton up for sale. Talking one day we both said, what do you think about the old Elks? We took a look, wasn’t sure what we all wanted to do, but hey why not.

Here we are today, getting closer to our vision being done. A summer of gutting the whole building (our kids may never come home from college again). Taking out dead trees, tearing down a rotten porch, changing our layout many times due to restrictions of the building, adding a new banquet room entrance, new porch with entrance into the sports lounge and many other updates.

Then the hard part, what are we naming our new adventure. I, Annette lost my dad almost 14 years ago. We wanted to honor my dad and my mom too, as they were always there to help us, no questions asked and never wanting anything in return. Just them helping their family. My dad’s name was Clifford, so The Cliff Event Center became our name.

As we can start to see the end to our construction, we have already enjoyed a few events in the banquet center. We are going to be more than just a banquet center. As most people know our family loves sports, we have played sports and all our kids play sports. So why not make it also a sports lounge where families can come and enjoy watching sports. We will have a theater with 24 seats and a big screen TV to watch all those sports games! Will I ever see my husband!!

We will have food and drinks. What we really want is families to come and enjoy watching the game, playing pool, shuffleboard, etc. as a family.

It’s been a long journey and not everything has happened in the time frame as we wanted. Something’s have happened sooner then we thought. We are adding a gaming parlor and the machines have arrived way sooner then we thought. We will be opening the gaming parlor along with the bar now.

We are still waiting on supplies to do our kitchen so we can have food, but we will get there. We are still working on the theater room, new women’s bathroom, bridal room, the outside of the building will all have steel on it, and the room with pool tables, shuffleboard,etc. It all takes time, but we are getting closer.

We are excited to announce that we have opened the gaming parlor. How exciting is that!! We will have a limited bar available. Please ne patience with us as we try to get everything finished. Right now, our hours will be daily
4pm - 11pm as we are still doing work in the building. These hours are temporary until we get all the work done.

We look forward to our new adventure and meeting new people everyday. We are renting out the banquet facility for wedding receptions, Christmas parties, class reunions, business meetings or baby/bridal showers. Contact Annette at 815-915-1399 or email at [email protected]

The cool mornings feel like fall, so had to start adding a few pumpkins to the landscaping. Enjoying this time of the year at The Cider Mill. We don’t always just see the bride and groom.
