This Friday, Feb. 28, marks an Economic Blackout—a day of collective action to show the power of consumer choices. Many are choosing to pause spending at major corporations to send a message about economic influence.

At Four Buds Floral Studio, we believe in the strength of community and small businesses. We know that flowers are sometimes a necessity—for memorials, tributes, birthdays, anniversaries, or simply bringing comfort in difficult times. If you do need florals on Friday, we encourage you to shop small. We accept cash payments, which aligns with the goals of this movement.

We appreciate our community and the impact we can make together. However you choose to participate, your voice and choices matter.

As you can see, processing poppies is a little different than your average flower. Cauterizing the bottom of the stem helps them pop out of their hairy husks more quickly and prevents their sap from seeping helping the poppies retain their moisture and nutrients so they don’t wilt as quickly. Lesson being; sometimes all we need is a little fire under our asses to get us blooming! #natureismetal
