We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jay Lane, owner of Golden Gate Studios, a cherished industry partner, friend, and supporter of Rhode Island’s industry chapters: ILEA RI and the Rhode Island Wedding Group. Beginning his remarkable career in 1969, Jay dedicated countless years to making thousands of weddings and celebrations truly special. Known for his personal touch, he often delivered the bride’s flowers himself—a testament to his care and dedication for making each occasion so remarkable. His referrals and support lifted countless businesses and colleagues, creating lifelong friendships along the way. Jay’s legacy will continue to inspire, and his kindness and contributions to our community will be dearly missed. Our hearts and thoughts are with Jay’s family, especially his wife Melissa, during this extremely difficult time.

Remembrance Details:
Funeral on Wednesday, October 30 at 5pm
Trinity Church, Cranston, RI
Celebration of Life to be had, details will be released soon.

Back again, the ILEA RI Halloween Party is a night of treats and no tricks. On October 30 from 7pm (that’s right it’s later so you can dress to impress) to 10pm at Hotel Providence! The evening will include spooky bites, cash bar, entertainment, and of course a costume contest.
